Group D
08/26/2010| Things were going pretty well. On the first turn, I attacked with a hydra in the castle. On the second turn, I got a secondary Necropolis (green), and my opponent also had a brown Necropolis, two Hives, and on turn 131, with an increase in resources, he took a Utopia. There, the only bonus was +3 to knowledge, but also a Speaker's Hat!!! With the money from the Utopia, I upgraded the hydras. Tazar had exactly 25 mana left after the Utopia. He sped up with a Fly unit to capture Erdem's Necropolis on the next turn and continue his advance; after all, he has an explosion ability, but it seemed like my opponent realized something was wrong and built a Veil of Shadows, and I was stopped. I had to struggle to reveal the area again with a scout, and only after a few days, when it was revealed, did I capture the red Necropolis... It turned out that I wasn't wrong to rush, because my opponent's main hero was Galtran, with stats similar to mine. Carefully using ranged units, I captured his capital, losing 4 Wyverns to a Cyclops on turn 8, and this was with Tazar!!! I missed out on capturing Tyraxor with his entire army, who had taken the Utopia in the Swamp Treasury, and continued on to Gosh. I could have locked him at the entrance to the Underground and caught him in the swamp with expert logistics and a purely swamp army, but I chased after him to kill Erdem... :( Along the way, I received an increase in resources from my capital, and my army in the tavern was already larger than my opponent's. I caught up with Galtran near the conjunction village with 10 mana. I took a cloak +2 to speed with a scout and attacked. It didn't even come to an explosion. My opponent bought his way out with 150 skeletons, Wyverns, and Angels... I took a Hive, a shield +3 to attack and defense, and a Wanderer's Ring. By the way, I know a tactic at the expert level, but the troops are not placed, and the battle starts immediately. Because of this, I lost troops to my opponent's scout units and in the battle with ranged units... Next, I planned to pursue Gosh, but the scout found a Hive and a Utopia, and there were two more nearby, and I took all three directly on the fourth week. Then I ran to Gosh and, with some effort, killed him. If I had known about Armageddon, I would have put on a cloak right away... that's what I should have done, but many troops died from Armageddon, and then Gosh, attacking many times, tried to kill my troops with ranged units. But it didn't help. Tazar killed all of Erdem, Galtran, and on the next turn, my opponent had no more cities left, and the last red hero, Tyraxor, attacked a village with a single Griffin... I killed him too. There are 4 more campaigns left, but I'll finish them later... |
