I wonder where this lord of the dead gives additional points of darkness? I specifically checked – it doesn’t give ANY points of darkness. The Death Herald is simply necessary for the convenience of recruiting undead. And when did I say that leadership is useless for a necromancer? I think I only talked about its usefulness everywhere. And I don’t think I said anything about dark revelation at all.

So, attack, defense, knowledge, darkness plus the perks you mentioned. And what else?
Well, magic, of course :)

I already wrote that the Necromancer increases necromancy, and therefore also the amount of dark energy.
And I'm saying that's nonsense and it doesn't increase dark energy in any way.

When calculating the amount of dark energy points, the bonuses of heroes and buildings are used. When calculating the hero bonus, the main parameter is the hero's skill in necromancy. "Lord of the Dead" is one of the modifiers that increase the skill in necromancy.
Conclusion:"Lord of the Dead" increases the amount of dark energy points
Where is the nonsense here?! Provide solid arguments in favor of your point of view, instead of just demonstrating...
A very compelling argument: take a Death Lord and give it to a level 35 hero, and – bam – not a single point of Dark Energy.
Moreover, I even tried to have all 8 Necromancers, level 35, capture this Death Lord, and still, no Dark Energy points.
Conclusion: the Death Lord does NOT affect the amount of Dark Energy. And if that's the case, then it's almost useless to take it in the late game, because there are plenty of strong neutral creatures around, and 5% is nonsense.

It increases stats for everyone – don't you have it?
Are you new here? Do you play Necropolis a lot?

Well, I am new:smile36: I play Necropolis enough to see that +5% makes a difference. I even posted a screenshot about the bug – if you haven't seen it.
So what if he posted that screenshot? Do you think I haven't seen it? It's just a wheel. It's unclear who needs it. I'll explain again to all the newcomers and old-timers, in case anyone didn't understand: **Lord of the Dead does NOT give a bonus to dark energy**, not 5% and not even a single percent.

Manual, page 290: Lord of the Dead skill: +5% to Necromancy. Read it in your free time. Several players have already told you this!
I'm repeating again for the particularly slow: these 5% are an increase to the undead you raise, i.e., those you will raise after the battle in a special window. It does not give any bonus to dark energy! How many more times do I have to repeat this, especially since I have already verified it myself?

Maximum Dark Energy = 200 + Hero Bonus + Building Bonus
Hero Bonus = Rounding of Nival[Necromancy Skill * (Level-5)1.4], for levels above 6. Note: 1.4 is in uppercase. "Necromancy Skill" is the hero's skill in the "Necromancy" skill, from 1 (Basics) to 4 (Perfected).
"Lord of the Dead": the hero receives +1 to knowledge. The "Necromancy" skill is enhanced: the hero can raise +5% more creatures. "Necromancy" modifiers are cumulative.
That is: Basic Necromancy + Lord of the Dead (1.05), Advanced Necromancy + Lord of the Dead (2.05), Expert Necromancy + Lord of the Dead (3.05), Perfected Necromancy + Lord of the Dead (4.05).
P.S. At least once in your judgments, provide evidence.
No need to quote the manual. I read all of that a long time ago. It's just that none of the above applies in practice.

You've got quite a discussion going here – and for no reason. The manual clearly states what affects the increase in dark energy. In this case, Lordesat is right – the "Lord of the Dead" skill does not provide an increase in dark energy (in addition to increasing the hero's knowledge (+1), it enhances the "Necromancy" skill, which is quite important in the simplified development method [some of this is mentioned in "The Economy of the Necronomicon"] – we increase the racial skill by 5%, without bringing it to the expert level; the "Bone Pillar" building also contributes to this goal, increasing "Necromancy" by 10%).
