I watched the first Iron Man on DVD before the release of the second part and yesterday I went to see the second part in the cinema. I can call both films quite good, they have both their drawbacks and advantages. But first of all, I liked the charismatic main character, the good and non-trivial sense of humor of the filmmakers, and the excellent soundtrack. The first part starts with the legendary Back in Black by the Australian rock band AC/DC, and in the second part, the appearance of Iron Man is accompanied by Shoot to Thrill by the same band. Among the drawbacks is the typical Hollywood division into good and evil, the banal speeches of these villains, and their banal motivations.

At the end of the film, they promised to show a teaser for the next part, as far as I understood, so, as decent people, we wanted to wait until the end of the credits to watch that very teaser, but the projector was turned off before it got to that point. It was disappointing. But never mind. We still left the theater satisfied.

Today, I watched the remake of the movie "A Nightmare on Elm Street" on a pirated disc. Honestly, I wish I hadn't watched it :(. I mean, I expected it wouldn't be great, but it was a complete disaster and ruined the whole movie. If in the first seven films, plus "Freddy vs. Jason," the great villain worked at a factory and lured children into his boiler room, then in this film, he turned out to be a gardener at a kindergarten, living in the basement of that same kindergarten :smile04. Moreover, he didn't kill the children there; he just tormented them and, as far as I understand, raped them...
