Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East
Version 3.1

Since the tweaker 1.3 posted in the manuals section doesn't work, and neither does the 2.0 version found on the internet. Or, how can I manually disable shadows, as my laptop really doesn't like them in any game?

Both the standard licensed version and the Gold edition install normally, but when I try to play, the game crashes in the very first campaign (when Isabel meets the peasants who decide to fight her). Reinstalling doesn't help. DirectX 9 is installed.

Is it possible to play Tribes of the East with allies (2v2 or 3v3) on maps other than those specifically designed for it?

Please help. I have a licensed copy of Heroes. Version 3.0 (Stronghold). I downloaded patch 3.1, installed it, and happily started the game... but it still shows version 3.0.
