Gentlemen, I was recently somewhat dismayed by the fact that the supposed magic immunity of black dragons doesn't actually work.
Or rather, the issue lies with the Staff of Sar-Is, which, according to the description, should reduce resistance to magic, but in reality, it bypasses the immunity of black dragons, even though the description states that it shouldn't.
Is this a bug in the staff's code or an error in the description?

People, what's better: buying creatures with 2 upgrade levels or 3?

I'm stuck at the enchanted gates, even though I've already placed four heroes at the marked locations, and nothing happens.

There are actually two upgrades in total.
Unless you consider the base creature itself as an upgrade.

In campaigns and scenarios, this is possible if it's implemented by the creators of those campaigns and scenarios.

And of course, the game must be a licensed version,
preferably patched.

So, is there absolutely no way to fix this? Not even in theory?

If we're talking about a licensed version of the game, you can simply open almost any free-play scenario and find both upgrades there.

If we're talking about modifying campaigns, that's a completely different question.
There's no need to modify the campaign. :)

You still haven't specified exactly on which maps this happens, whether it's in the campaigns, whether the game is licensed, whether it happens on all maps, etc.
Because of this, it's impossible to help you. :)
