Posts from SOD vs TE
That's definitely not true, Sanek!
Stinger was constantly beating him, many to zero.
I don't think Alex played against him; I, for example, didn't play.
By the way, what arguments will the supporters of SoD have for not playing WT?)))
And I think there will definitely be some.
But I still want to know how to build a level 2 structure from the start in SoD.
I've already discussed the WT topic with asm. There are things to say, and things that are bad, or rather, not feasible - and I myself am sorry.:smile35:
But I don't think there will be a single vote against the idea of simultaneous turns.
Such "arguments" remind me of the concept of "trend." That is, not what is "better," but what is "more popular."
And when choosing between "better" and "more popular," I will always vote for the latter, because I am much more interested in learning and competing in a game that is played by 1000++ people than in another game that is better but will only be played by 10 people...
For example, the whole world plays basketball. And suddenly, someone decides that it would be easier to play with a soccer ball and that the hoop should be twice as low... 10 people start playing that way. Who needs such a sport? :D
What's wrong with that? TE = MOD, VT = MOD.
And when choosing between "better" and "popular," I always vote for the latter because, for me, it's much more interesting to learn and compete in a game that 1000+ people play than in another game that is better but only 10 people will play...
For example, the whole world plays basketball. And suddenly, someone decides that it would be easier to play with a soccer ball and that the hoop should be twice as low... 10 people start playing that way. Who needs that kind of sport? :D
In this case, I used the word "moda" (haute couture...), not "mod" (addon...).
Quantity doesn't mean quality – that's the first thing. And secondly – what does it have to do with making the game easier and spending time/grinding with the mouse, etc.?
If it turned out that everyone played basketball version 2, and someone suggested making it the way it is now, would you say the same thing?
Example. The whole world plays basketball. And suddenly someone decided that it would be easier to play with a soccer ball and that the hoop should be twice as low... 10 people started playing like that. Who the hell needs such a sport? :D
The whole world played basketball with a rag ball and hoops of different diameters (SoD); but people perfected it, turned it into a sporting discipline—digital timer, parquet, hoops and balls are the same everywhere (TE, WT). Not everyone accepted it immediately. But more and more people, desiring fair sporting play rather than "cheating," prefer to compete in modern basketball.

On WCL, Black Knight was the king – he probably beat almost everyone. Now, a Dane is the king there.
That's definitely not true, Sanek!
Stinger constantly beat him, many times with a score of many-zero.

Stinger didn't submit reports during the season. But it is reliably known that he won the first few matches against Black Knight, and I was a witness to that. (there were several in a row after the inter-site tournament). Artem, by the way, noted Knight's high level of play. Knight, of course, wrote to highlight his victories over Stinger.
Petya, is your quote meant to support the claim that "the whole world is much stronger"? :)
Since Black Knight is cited as an example of a "strong player," the match with their site, played entirely under their rules, ended with a score of 5-1 in favor of Bay (Black Knight lost his game). Knight did not pass the selection for the RP. So, there is no basis for saying that he is "much stronger."
Now, the level of play is high for everyone - therefore, only an objective tournament can show who is stronger, like the one that is currently underway. But there is no activity from VSL.

and not resorting to personal attacks. :)
Here, esteemed Mr. Forrest, tell us again, how does "rag basketball" differ from the real thing? I mean, what is the balance in TE?
P.S. What tournament is currently underway? I only know of one right now - on a Polish website, with 64 players, 14 of whom are from our community. Foreigners are calling some Bulgarian the favorite to win... and even there, there aren't any well-known Heroes players from around the world - I know some from China, Korea, the USA, Denmark, and Switzerland. I think this is their first step; soon, more players and new features will be added.
The foreigners claim that some Bulgarian is a contender for victory...

xlnt, liophy are playing on TE.
Alex, wouldn't it be better if you fixed the text file so that you could get a fully built level 2 structure right from the start?
Hey Alex, why don't you figure out how to modify the text file so that you can get a fully built level 2 structure right from the start?
To do this, you need to find some files on the internet:
h3wog.exe, Zvslib1.dll, and copy them to the Heroes folder. Rename h3wog.exe to heroes32.exe. You'll also need to add a few .def files and text files to the .lod files... then, in the Data folder, create a directory: .\s[br][/br]In it, create a text file named script08.erm with the following content:
-------Build 2nd level dwellings in all towns------------
!?TM2; First Day only for 1st player
!!FU&v2392>1:E; works only at 1st turn
!!FU&v2391=0:E; and only for 1st player
!!UN:U98/-1/?y-6; count towns
!!VRv1:S-1; set for UN:U
!!DO23505/1/y-6/1&y-6>0:P;
!?FU23505; Build 2nd level dwelling
!!UN:U98/-1/-1/1; Store location of current town in v1/v2/v3
!!CAv1/v2/v3:O?y1 U?y2;
!!FU23045:Py2/1; check buildings
!!CAv1/v2/v3&-2/-3:B6/31 R0; build and restore 'can build this turn' flag
-------Build 2nd level dwellings in neutral towns------------
2. The entire world plays on SOD. And the entire world is much stronger than players from the CIS.
What "world" are you talking about? Names, passwords, locations?
On English-language sites, TE is already mixed with SOD. The Chinese are far away, and the connection is poor; we don't get much benefit from them playing something.
For example, how the Chinese almost beat us ;) - and that wasn't even their main team (their main team doesn't know English).
There are also Poles, Koreans, Bulgarians... by the way, there's an international tournament on a Polish site right now... the main contender is a Bulgarian, and second place is given to a Pole... our players aren't even being considered ;)
because we're a local "entire world" :)
On WCL, Black Knight was the king - who probably beat almost all of Bai, now a Dane is the king there.
