Good day, dear users of the HeroesWorld portal. Today, a friend and I wanted to play HoMM3 Complete Collection using the Hamachi program. However, we couldn't connect to each other, and the problem is this: the game sees my IP address as something like 192.168, i.e., the router's address, and not the Hamachi address – 5.148, etc.
Therefore, I have a question – maybe someone can advise something useful in this regard, perhaps by opening some special ports or tweaking the router settings:smile16:

Is your friend using the same router?
If so, then that's how it should be - you are on a local network.
Otherwise, add your IP (192.168.) to the router's DMZ and disable the firewall in it.
Also, go to the official website of the router manufacturer and download the latest firmware from there (save the old one as a file on your computer just in case).

The problem is this: we all installed Hamachi (the latest version, 2.1.0.124), one of us creates the network, everything is set up correctly, TCP/IP, Server, etc... The other person can see it, but I can't. It just says: "IP not found." We tried having me create the network, but then no one can see me. I'm starting to get frustrated... I've read a lot of forums and done everything as people suggest: 1. I disabled the Firewall and Antivirus (although I doubt it's them, because the ping is normal, and we tried playing Quake - it works). 2. In the network connections, I moved Hamachi to the top in the "Advanced" settings. (The IP address in the game is displayed the same as in Hamachi, like 5.222....) What could be the problem? Could it be my Wi-Fi router (D-Link DSL-2640U)? I heard that you need to disable the Firewall in it. I tried, but I couldn't find it in the settings. (But again, the ping is fine, Quake works, everything works except Heroes). Before, when I had internet via 3G and was using an older version of Hamachi, everything worked fine... I don't understand what's happening now... If anyone knows, please help me.

I did try an older version of Hamachi! It says something like, "Hamachi server refused the connection" (I don't remember exactly). It asks for an update. And the other guys are using the new versions, and they work. And I can play Quake perfectly fine through Hamachi... And in Heroes, the IP address is entered correctly – using Hamachi, but for some reason, it can't find the servers (and they can't find me either)...

Another interesting fact that I can't quite make sense of:

While digging through all the settings, trying to find the problem, I disabled the DSNP Client and Network Connections – all connections, of course, went down. At that time, I had Heroes minimized, with the TCP/IP tab open. When I turned everything back on, the connections were restored, and when I opened Heroes, I saw a miracle – it found the created server (and, as it should, even without entering its IP address, it found it itself)... We even played normally. But on the second attempt to find the server, the same problem occurred again – IP not found....

What could this be?!?!?

Perhaps you have some issue with the services. For example (not related to the game): on one PC, the Windows installer is set to manual startup mode – and it works perfectly. On another, it doesn't start in manual mode; you set it to automatic – it works, but after (another reboot), it's back in manual mode and can't start. Whether the problem is in the system or the hardware, I don't know, but it's cheaper to configure and restart than to look for the cause... Try starting all the necessary services (related to the internet). Although sometimes there might be a simple solution to the problem that you wouldn't even think of...
