The search for a club is in the selection stage, choosing between two options, but, unfortunately, this club will be quite average. I have started negotiations with Buku - at least to get a license, and maybe I can arrange something else. The championship will take place on February 21-23. If anyone else wants to watch/play, please let me know as soon as possible.

If it weren't for Stinger and Marcon participating as clear favorites, the tournament would turn into a "rehabilitation center."

I have a licensed disc, and I'm sure many others do too, so why ask them for a license?:confused:

I also don't quite understand what a license is and whether it's necessary. I have a licensed disc. Is that not enough?

Although many clubs only play with licensed versions, and although some don't ask questions about it, I guess there aren't any like that in Moscow.

What license are we talking about??? The admin's consent is enough to record the game!!! At the Siberian qualifier, in the coolest club (Plasma), they told me that it costs 30 rubles/hour, and that they only allow playing their games. Later, they agreed to my terms, but I had to tell them in advance how many computers I needed.
Meanwhile, the "Polygon" club bought new monitors. In October, I went there to negotiate. They said, "Bring it and install whatever you want," and the price was 20 rubles/hour per computer, but they didn't have liquid crystal monitors :). However, in December, I saw new monitors there and finally decided on the place. The price per hour in December increased to 22 rubles.
But the main problem is not this. It's that some people started saying: "Am I supposed to come to a computer club just to sit here? I can do that at home. Let's chip in for poker chips and play at home." Yes, we played Hot City on laptops at home. Yes, communication is great!!! But the game was originally planned to be played at the club.
I think my mistake was that we played the Sit & Go. If we had played a Panic tournament with the same limit, 1800+300, there would have been enough time for everything.
P.S. If I had the opportunity to come to Moscow or Kyiv, I probably would have thought the same way. There are many interesting things to see in Moscow or Kyiv. There is a choice:
1. Come to Moscow or Kyiv for at least a couple of weeks, and then 3 days at the club won't seem like much.
2. Come for 3 days, walk around the city, and meet with players.

Ugh, guys, this is ancient news, it's time to remember that a license for home use is not a license for commercial use!!! A computer club generates commercial profit from the game, so by law, it is FORBIDDEN to install a "home" license on the computers, and the owners of "legitimate" clubs are aware of this! This is what happened to me in Novosibirsk in 2 large clubs when I was making arrangements. And the fact that admins allow it is their business; they probably don't have a licensed version of Windows either, but we live with it. Find such clubs and that's it, but if the tournament is sponsored by Bookmaker, it's clear that you and the club admins will be penalized, and the owner will get a beating too. :D

P.S. If there were an opportunity to come to Moscow or Kyiv, I would probably think the same way. There is something to see in Moscow or Kyiv. There is a choice:

I said the first part of the phrase, and someone else came up with the poker idea, but it doesn't matter because it's true! Socializing! That's what it's all about :smile03:
