Posts from All castles in Heroes 3.
Under these conditions, the strongest faction is Conflux, and after that, it's hard to say, except that Inferno is the weakest (its only chance is to quickly find a scroll with Armageddon, then you can win with Ifrits).
As for personal preferences, I don't like Necromancers (it's just boring to spend the whole game accumulating skeletons, trying to prolong it as much as possible) and Barbarians (it's just a matter of style, I've always preferred hero-mages).
I enjoy playing with all the others :)
The same for the swamp - a ton of Wyverns... you know where to get them, besides the population))) Magic Gorgons...."- where are the Black Dragons? - Let's see... closer, how many fell from Death Gaze? Well... don't pull your hair out."
The Barbarians have Behemoths (that's what we call them) or Ancient Monsters...- Now these guys just don't give a damn about anything. They approach someone with bloodlust and minus one unit:) (well, except for those same notorious magic gorgons, and I really don't like dendroids either...)
Well... the most awesome game was when I played as THAT very Conflux and I had Armageddon... It doesn't affect Fire Elementals, magma elementals have zero emotion, Psi-elementals... also no, Phoenixes live there)) And? my first turn and simply minus half of the enemy army... which stack is the fattest? - yeah... we fly in with Phoenixes and wipe them out. In case of misunderstanding, the dose is doubled)

You're a hardcore player :) :) :)
The swamp has hydras.
Devils are the weakest, imps are fodder, devils are expensive but other than speed and "no retaliation", they're complete garbage
Dungeon is a decent castle, though their minus earth underground is a downside, but minotaurs with manticores decide it
Undead are also a freebie, by the end of the month you can gather nearly a thousand skeletons, it's a pain to play against them
As for Swamp, well, gorgons can certainly drive you crazy with their breath, though they're slow, ducks (hydras) are okay when upgraded, basically their units are trash until upgraded
Barbarians are the same as swamp, everything needs to be upgraded to get more or less pleasant troops, and by the time you build those damn cyclops, a lot of time passes
Tower, now that's a castle I just hate playing, very-very-very expensive, if the map generates harshly then that's it, you can just "new game" immediately :)
Personally, I enjoy playing as Necromancers! It's great when new units join your army after each battle (even if they are just skeletons). And if you collect the "King of the Undead's Cloak," you can build a decent army without even returning to your Castle! Plus, their magic is quite powerful! ;)
Yeah, the cloak is definitely good, but it's rare to get it. And Necropolis is the weakest faction. Bone dragons were a disappointment.
And Necromancers have spectral dragons. :D :D ;) ;) ;)
The most advanced faction is the one with black dragons. Due to their advantage in the number of ranged units, and their main feature is Black Dragons, due to their immunity to magic. Also, the "Inferno" Castle is a strong faction because of its Efreet. 60 upgraded Efreet are better than 15 Devils. The "Tower" faction is also strong; it is strong because of its Nagas. They have weak Titans, but they have many ranged units, and Djinns are equivalent to Efreet.
There are no good heroes in the Dungeon, so it is immediately ruled out. A large number of ranged units is good against the AI, but against humans, it is better to have minimal range. If a unit shoots, it loses in something else, usually in defense and has a penalty in melee combat. 60 upgraded Efreet may only be better than Wyverns, and they lose to the rest. The only thing that pleases is the fire shield and the movement range. The Tower is too expensive. Titans are not good. But I agree with you about the Nagas. Not being affected by the Slow spell is really a strength. It is best to play as Humans. It is the most optimal faction, and the hero there is the best - Adel. Diplomacy!!!
