As a true Necromancer, I have a purely indifferent attitude towards all units, but if we consider the statistics, then black dragons are perhaps one of the strongest units. Their immunity to magic is particularly noteworthy. They are only rivaled by lava dragons, titans, and archangels. I haven't played much with the Tribes of the East, to be honest, and the others didn't impress me:p

Archangels have an initiative of 11, so it's unclear what problems they have with it. Regarding resurrection, Archangels can split into two groups and resurrect each other (neutrals often demonstrate this). And finally, about Lava Golems (Magma Golems or Arcata – it doesn't matter) – their initiative is lower than that of Black Dragons. It's only 9. But they have a lot of health, so Black Dragons aren't necessarily the favorites here either. Why am I saying all this? The point is that you shouldn't forget about the main "dragon" – the hero who commands the army:smile01:

My opinion? A banal, ordinary dragon that doesn't stand out in any way. There are plenty of such dragons in fantasy, and it doesn't bring anything new or original. The magma dragon mentioned above looks much more interesting in comparison to a common black dragon. But what's the point of proving that black dragons are the strongest and will defeat everyone? Yes, in its basic form, it is one of the most powerful monsters in the game. But under the command of its main hero, a Warlock, for example, it doesn't hold up well against attacks due to the Warlock's low defense. It's much harder to kill Archangels if they are controlled by a Knight.

But unlike the Lava Golem, it is at least a fully functional unit because it can fly.
