While still young (in a gaming sense), you should be learning, not demanding your rights.
Go into the playoffs to learn how to play on a completely unfamiliar template?? IMHO, this is utter nonsense!! Such innovations should have been announced in advance! Can anyone give an example of a tournament where they played one template in the first round and another in the playoffs?? And why 8mm6 and not Jebus, for example??
mals (red, Dungeon, Shakti, Shakti) def Enik (blue, Rampart, Kyrre, Kyrre), 132 2sm4d(3) Week 1: 2 external dwellings + Minotaurs built at the Citadel. Week 2: 3 Griffin Conservatories taken — for 9 Angels. On day 3 of month 1 week 2, Shakti with 9 Angels and 29 Minotaurs killed Kyrre in the Castle.
P.S. Since everyone decided to play 2sm4d(3), I think there will be no talk about someone getting stuck in a block after all the rests and asking for a restart.
Make it to the playoffs just to learn how to play on a completely unfamiliar map?? IMHO, that's utter nonsense!
I think anyone who has even a basic understanding of Heroes of Might and Magic can generate map templates in advance and, by looking at them, determine the optimal strategy for any map.
since everyone decided to play 2sm4d(3), I don't think there will be any complaints about someone getting stuck in a block after all the rests and asking for a rest.
Well, let's say not everyone decided... :) I admit my mistake; the first post didn't mention other templates. Therefore, 2sm4d(3) remains the priority. Those who agree can play 8mm6. If you can't find it, I'll secretly send it to you via ICQ.
Once again, I ask that you stop irrelevant discussions in this thread and get down to business, i.e., playing.
Ayvengo (red, Dungeon, Shakti, Grindan) def Deriel_Linch (blue, Castle, Valeska, Christian) 116, 2sm4d (3)
confirming
111 - Valya arrived with 4 archers
and then on turn 116, he entered the crypt because he only had enough money for 2 horses and needed to get more (but it turned out to be maxed out), and he lost.
thank you for the game.

117 - nagas in the Citadel - no gold, no prospects
124 - I decide on a desperate move, gather all available resources, exchange wood and stone for resources, build 4 GMs, and run to my opponent with 3 nagas and a few gargoyles.
126 - my opponent attacks me: I remember he had 9 birds from the Citadel, 5 wyverns, a few dragonflies, and 15+ lizards... I walk through his line with a club called Chain Lightning 2 times and run back to my Castle.
on turn 132, my opponent counterattacks and attacks my Tower with the Citadel.
I have 17-19 golems, a few gargoyles, a couple of gremlins, and 200 mana.
he has 7-9 gremlins, 4 wyverns, 20+ grand elves, 50+ great lizards, a few flies and basilisks 10+...
I think that's it - amen to me) but I didn't want to give up with Chain Lightning.
first turn - chain lightning on the birds, golems in the corner, and tactical maneuvers begin... I get very lucky, and the elves and lizards stand for 2 rounds (immoral actions don't lead to good things)).
it all ended with the opponent running away, leaving me with 2 golems.
then there was a week of tactics and strategies, after which on turn 145 I kill my opponent in his own Castle.
thank you for the game
Deriel_Linch (Red, Inferno, Pyre, Luna) def Ellina (Blue, Stronghold, Kreg, Kreg), 212, 2sm4d (3) Deriel_Linch - 1 restart, Ellina - 1 restart Everything was in place for victory in the final battle! Ha-ha... But in the end - a disappointing defeat! Kreg had slowed experience gain, and Luna had an explosion of 850. I made a mistake in the last move, letting the opponent escape, hehe... And I could have won... After that, there was nothing left to do but attack him, the explosion did its job, and Luna replenished her mana - and the poor Barbarians had no chance. Deriel, well done, you fight great :) Well, it's a learning experience for the future; I haven't had to deal with mages much before - the difference is obvious. ))
Don't judge too harshly if I put the screenshots in the wrong order :smile27:, I decided to try it out. ))
Deriel_Linch (Inferno, Pyre, Luna) def Ellina (Stronghold, Crag Hack, Crag Hack) 2sm4d (3) 212 week 1 - Efreet in the town + external dwelling of Efreet + secondary swamp week 2 - level 2 Griffin Conservatory and a level 6 Hive week 3 - took a walk in the treasure zone... found something useful: a Rib Cage (+2), for 20+ grades of the unit a Ring of the Swift (+1 to speed), scroll of Implosion. 2 hives (min (4) and max (12)) week 4 - clear 3 Cyclops Storages for building 5 GM... from useful stuff I only found a Berserker, which I only used once in this game, namely for upgrading Nagas when on day 147 I decided to break through the GO (7*8) 211 I attack the opponent's Castle. Decisive battle: my army: 17 Sultans, 14 Wyverns, 2 Angels, 16 Demons, Implosion for 850 and peanuts. Ellina's army: 2 basic Bears, 8 Angels, 15 Thunderbirds, 100 upgraded Goblins, 20 Hounds, 20 Orcs, 15 Magi Ogres + expert Tactics + Mass Slow + Warrior skills totaling 15 more than mine Turn 1 - the birds dropped first... then the Angels hit the Efreet and I only had 7 left... then the tactical maneuvers began) last turn - I'm under Slow... I have 1 Angel left, a couple of Wyverns and a couple of Demons, and Ellina with her surviving 3 Angels hits the Wyverns, thinking the Orcs will finish me off, but since my Angel had speed 6 and the Ogres also had 6, I as the attacking side moved first... I cast Implosion on the Angels and run away... then Ellina, having gathered her weekly army, comes to me and attacks the Castle on day 123... on defense I had 3 singles + a stack of 2 Efreet, 30 Gogs and 6 Demons... I kill her 6 Thunderbirds with Implosion and wait... she only has Chain Lightning for 135 damage... after several rounds, Ellina with 10 Ogres and peanuts runs away, having killed 3 of my Efreet and a couple of Gogs (the Angel survived nonetheless)) then, realizing she has no army left, I run to finish her off, but I get a message that Crag is not in the tavern))) an interesting moment but I can't explain it) we stopped at that and Ellina left the game... Thank you, Lena, for the super nerve-wracking and interesting game)
It was our first game (we barely managed to connect). I was lucky with the starting location. There were 3 Ramparts... it was very slow, but then a new one was generated (I attacked strong monsters there, who put my main hero and his entire army to sleep). We played the new game with all random settings. I got Necropolis with a very difficult and challenging starting location. I didn't see any good money-making opportunities. I was underground and couldn't get to the surface... the archers shot down almost all the skeletons (almost all the guards were archers). There was nowhere to get more skeletons, and I couldn't build anything because I lacked resources and money. In short, the starting location was bad. At the same time, my opponent built a good army without any problems and was thriving. When I emerged with the remaining troops to attack the Great Elves (who were guarding the Leviathan), I realized that this is where I would die... I didn't continue because the opponent clearly had the advantage, and I couldn't move anywhere. In general, play fair. Thanks to my opponent for the game; he gave me a break when I couldn't ask for it.
I apologize, I was kind of unavailable today. :) I was playing in a tournament; it was intense, and I didn't have time to take a break. On 122, I managed to reach the maximum score for Castle without slow, preserving 3 knights and archers; on 124, I got another 3 points, but I was slightly damaged... =) On 125, I didn't do very well and lost an angel... Oh well. 126 was postponed. I was just bragging. :)
Week 1: a couple of crypts, 3 piles of bones, 7 heroes (2 with gold), on 116 took max medusa lair with 130 skeletons, 2 darks, 7 zombies, 6 privies and 4 ribes. Lost 30 skeletons (only in the first round 3 petrifications  , mana 6 points) and overfeed. Have a Griffin Conservatory and a beehive. 2 roads: 1 to the GO, the second to the teleporter, which is blocked by 20+ monks. 1-6 in the Citadel.
Week 2: On 121 take Boots of Speed for 40+ royals, Aislinn's chain +4. Then take down the monks, on the other side of the teleporter the road splits in two. Take the castle, a horde of imps, the medusa lair, an ogre bureau for the road to the secondary (or so I thought). Ring of Life +1 for a horde of crusaders, also a harpy hutch and a pandora's box for 10k experience for 6 Chaos Hydras. Further on, the road is blocked by a horde of units for the pandora's box, I take 2 beehives for a total of 10 Wyverns :( . On 127 I break back home to replenish mana. Only 330 bones, but level 15 with Logistics, Earth and Air.
Week 3: On 131 I take the max beehive and max Griffin Conservatory without losses (I left 7 Liches at the beehive, no nearby dummy, didn't want to lose tempo), I run to the passage to the metro, presumably to the treasure zone to look for the Dragon Utopia. On 133 I discovered Crag Hack there with 8 birds (took down 6, Crag Hack fled) and a secondary Necro who was still neutral. I bring up the rest of the army, run along the road, attack Kyrre in the castle: 440 bone gredge, 22 Wyverns, 4 Angels, 6 Liches, 9 Darks, 18 Vampires and 20+ Privies. In the opponent 30+ Orcs and some small change.
I confirm, why Barbarian — I don't remember — I felt like it.
We played a few turns a day, about 3 or 4 real days — with long breaks — the connection between us was terrible — good thing we somehow finished it. The opponent is clearly of a higher level =)
The map generation was terrible — but on the first day of the game we played about 5 turns — I was thinking about a restart — then an external dwelling of Behemoths opened up, plus the Griffin Conservatory seemed to be max-level — I figured the connection was already bad anyway, so quickly) by the way, I never took anything from either of them. ГГ
I sketched out some bracket diagrams for the playoffs in Paint... :smile43:
Don't criticize them too harshly. They're in the fourth post of the thread.
If anyone knowledgeable finds a mistake and points it out, I'll be grateful, because the bottom one seems a bit clunky... Although, it seems to be correct.
