Why was the Best tournament held? Was it a final for the strongest players? Why can't a team be selected from there?
I completely agree with Oelm that the composition of the HW team should be determined through a competition. I am confident that this is the only objective and unbiased way to form a team.

The rankings are very unfair, even the tournament results are unfair. The vote I conducted is also not ideal, but it is currently of interest to the players of our resource. Everyone is voting, and on the first day, there are already results, with several pages of comments in the topic. If it weren't interesting, they wouldn't vote. And the interest needs to be maintained. Yes, the Portal or Bay will have different criteria for selecting players for the inter-portal competition, but that is their business – this is what makes the diversity of resources.

The vote shows how rapidly the balance of power is changing. Just a year ago, the top ten consisted of Uran, Decontaminator, vbn, Invisible, Nagan, Decontaminator… now, of the old players, only Mizrael, Scorp, and Alex R. have remained. That is, it is clear how rapidly the forum is growing, and how new players are emerging.

I think that the best way to hold the inter-portal competition is in the form of an individual championship, with a simultaneous team score. For example, hold a round-robin tournament where each resource will have three of its strongest players, and based on the total points scored by each member of the team, determine the strongest resource.
That is, determine both the inter-portal champion and the strongest forum. At the same time, the rules can be changed for each round: 1st - CM and HW rules, 2nd - 8mm6 and Bay rules, etc.

There are many good suggestions on how to hold the inter-portal competition. But it is also necessary to implement it. After considering Pete's proposal, I suggested a large inter-portal competition, which is implemented through a series of sequential actions, and subsequently, may grow into something more than that – who knows, it may even become a world championship of resources, with the participation of 10-12 leading hero forums in the world.

But before doing this, many small steps need to be taken. Good and useful things are usually done slowly; it is possible to break everything quickly, but it is difficult to build.

Now we have determined the approximate composition of the future inter-portal competition – 5 teams.
Then – we determined the composition of our team.
The next step is that the players are now determining a package of proposals for Bay and Portal regarding the upcoming matches. There are options, and the options are interesting for us and for our friends.

If we go through all this without major disruptions, we will get a series of interesting games with the participation of the best players. The new inter-portal competition may help Russian-speaking heroes reach a new level, as did the first two.

Well, and then, when we have such an inter-portal competition in our portfolio, why not give a link to many other resources in the world to the held tournament with a proposal to join in the next one? Perhaps, the proposal will be weighty, given the experience gained in the inter-portal competition – what kind of tournament could then be obtained?
Will Bay refuse the chance to become practically a legitimate world champion? No, probably not. And Portal will not refuse either. And we will not refuse either, if we continue to grow at the same pace, even if we sometimes receive it from our currently stronger neighbors.

When selecting players for the team, the principle of merit should prevail. The interportal tournament won't happen anytime soon, so we can re-qualify for some of the spots. And it would be good to do this under conditions and rules that are as close as possible to the planned interportal tournament. Training wouldn't hurt.

IMHO, it's not that simple. The winner of the best-of series on Hv is by no means the strongest player; I'm sure he was just lucky. And, frankly, it's psychologically easier to play when people have voted for your participation in the interportal (effectively asking you), and it's harder when it's the opposite. Something like that, IMHO.

Personal speculations, especially of this nature, should be shared in private messages or direct messages. If there is evidence, one should contact the Arbitration Committee. But one should not make such statements in the forum, especially in a thread discussing a tournament, and not in a place specifically designated for such statements.

Teams are formed, and Heroes players defend the honor of their "native" resource for this right.

Isn't it good when the people themselves decide who will defend the honor of their native resource?
