Posts from Dwarf vs. Wingayel (Lands of Outcasts)

Basically, Hamachi is a network adapter... I have a speed of 400+; the lower it is, the worse it is. We played with someone who had the same speed, and there were no lags. But if it's 128, it will lag. You can search for "download Hamachi" on Yandex; it's a small file, like a megabyte. When you download and install it, tell me, and I'll explain how to set up the network... Sorry for the off-topic; we're still going to play Heroes)))
Right now, my internet speed is 128:(, but on Friday, I'll try to get 1024 (I'll renew the contract).
I'll check out the Hamachi topic now!
Maybe we can play on the weekend!
So, how long have you been playing Heroes? I'm curious about your skill level and which faction you prefer. Do you play as Dwarves?
I've been playing Heroes 5 for almost a year and a half! My friends introduced me to the game; they're real Heroes 5 experts. One of them is from Donetsk and constantly participates in various tournaments and championships in Ukraine. He's also a prize winner in his city for Heroes 5.
Over time, I've played with all the factions, but I particularly enjoy (and these are my favorite factions) Humans, Necromancers, Warlocks, and Dwarves!
Two months ago, my friends and I decided to determine which faction is the strongest. We chose the "Lands of Exile" map, set a time limit of 4 months and 1 week, and each of us developed on their own floor (I described the more specific conditions in this thread). Since then, I've been playing as Dwarves!
I've definitely played with all the factions, but I didn't have any friends to help me, so I learned to do everything myself, and then I found this forum))) I've been playing Heroes for maybe 2 years, or even more... My favorite factions: Dwarves, Humans, Mages, and sometimes Warlocks... I just can't stand Orcs... I usually play as Mages and Dwarves. My favorite heroes: Laslo and Axel for Humans, Narhiz and Jalib for Mages, Erling and Inga for Dwarves.
Humans - Axel
Warlocks - Sinithar
Necropolis - Vlad
Dwarves - Helmar, Ingvar
I want to practice with the Elves, but since all the factions have been assigned due to our discussions about which one is the best! If you want, I can list the results of the matchups?
If you can, elaborate. I recently played against the Elf faction on one computer; Wing was the hero, and another computer used the Demon hero, Nibros, and completely destroyed him. But it's cool that Nibros has a useful ability against Wing – it reduces tactics. Well, computers are computers :smile33:
In my opinion, a computer is not even suitable for training; it's better to play against yourself!
When playing against Wingael with any faction, the main thing is to choose Tactics and Storm Wind!
I can't fully describe it; our statistics alone take up 18 sheets (descriptions of builds, army sizes, artifacts, endgame saves, unforeseen circumstances, etc.). In short, about my battles:
Total battles played – 25 out of 35 (5 battles with each faction)
Lost - 9, including 4 against Humans (hero Axel), 2 against Elves (hero Wingael), 2 against Orcs (hero Tilseng), and 1 – it was funny; I got carried away, and the computer accidentally won.
Won - 16, including 1 against Humans (hero Dougal), 3 against High Elves (hero Wingael), 2 against Orcs (hero Tilseng), 3 against Necromancers (heroes Orson, Dreida), 2 against Warlocks (heroes Sinistar, Letos), 2 against Mages (heroes Hafiz, Ora), and 3 against Demons (heroes Nimues, Grok).
In the overall ranking (as of today):
1. Humans (Axel)
2. High Elves (Wingael)
3. Dwarves (Helmar)
4. Mages (Ora)
5. Warlocks (Sinistar)
6. Orcs (Tilseng)
7. Necromancers (Dreida)
8. Demons (Nimues)
I still have main battles ahead (against Mages, Orcs, and Warlocks); I hope to get into the top 3. Mages are a tough opponent; with their mini-artifacts and Ora, they are a real headache. I won twice, but it was very difficult!
I want to note that Humans are currently unmatched. If I remember correctly, he "screwed up" only 5 times (I'm glad that one of those times was against me, and even when he was playing as Dougal)!
It takes a while to do it yourself... I tried it, but it's interesting... However, I prefer HotS or Hamachi.
Try playing as Laslo from the Order. He's simply amazing when he has nearly a hundred armored units. My friends almost always complain when I choose Laslo. And have you played these battles against yourself?
We have a team of ten people. Before determining the best faction, we drew lots to assign them (I got the Dwarves, and I don't regret it, although I wanted to try the Necromancers and the Elves). We also have two substitutes. We each chipped in 500 hryvnias (which is about $70). We play on weekends (for more than two months now) - we split into pairs and play five games between each faction; you know the rules (by the way, we took them from gamers in Hungary; they have tournaments that are almost national).
The first-place prize is 2000 hryvnias, the second-place prize is 1500 hryvnias, the third-place prize is 1000 hryvnias, and the fourth-place prize is 500 hryvnias.
When I'm practicing, of course, I play against myself! It takes more time, but it's more interesting and objective!
Yeah, your battles are quite interesting... As I understand it, you're all either neighbors or just from the same city? It's more objective on one hand, but it still creates a feeling of interest only in one side, and usually that side wins... I should try it sometime. And what GSC maps are you using?
Of course, we're all from the same city; some of us have known each other since childhood, and some we met at a gaming club. A couple of people learned about our mini-Heroes clan and asked to join. We've been friends for two years now, all thanks to Heroes!
You're wrong about "still, still." I actually love Necromancers, and Sinister is my favorite hero. It just so happens that I'm playing as Dwarves more often now. But now I understand that each race is interesting and strong in its own way. I really enjoy developing various tactics for development and combat in the endgame!
By the way, check out one of my posts in this thread; there's an interesting endgame save for Helmar vs. Wingael.
And regarding playing against myself, I actually try to play better as the opponent!
We used to play on almost all maps with 4 races. Then, when we decided to play to determine the strongest, we came to the conclusion that "Lands of Exile" is the best. We added a time limit for development, and each player develops on their own level: you can play longer without turn-based mode, there are many artifacts, two Utopias, additional computers that interfere with development, and interesting locations. All of this contributed to choosing this map!

Yes, I watched the replay... what can I say? Playing against dwarves, ents should have been replaced with ancients, because the wild ents' ability greatly reduces defense, which is not what we need against the tough dwarves with luck. Because of this, they were falling like flies... and ancients would have been better, as they would have reached the priests, I think, after killing the berserkers and not losing too many units on the way... (question: did the opponent have teleport? Then the ents would have looked much better, or mass acceleration from attack?). In the rest, I think it's just a matter of skill... There didn't seem to be any resurrection runes, or I missed them... I'll add after your post:smile54:

It seems that Wing had light magic, but he didn't have teleport, apparently:(... and here's something else after the second viewing of the replay... I think I realized that the player who played as Wing was counting on enemy spells and made death blades... in your place, I would have taken wind riders, and the dwarves would have been horrified by their accumulated defense... and they wouldn't have died so quickly, maybe they would have hit less often, but they would have been as tough as the ancient ents:... here

And also, the sets of artifacts look interesting: the dwarf has dragon artifacts, and Wing has dwarf artifacts... maybe the dragon set isn't complete, but still it's better than the dwarf set... and here's something else... if the hero hadn't used the dispel magic spell on the ents, maybe the ents would have reached their target:)
Then it's clear. I've heard almost everywhere that "Lands of Outcasts" is one of the most interesting maps. I like the map, the key to victory, and the neighbors... why? They are a decent size and there are quite a few artifacts... I will definitely check out the save file.)))

The battle turned out to be not bad, but the elf was a bit weak!
Why aren't you answering? I'm waiting for you in Hamachi, and you're ignoring me?
My ICQ: 569124908, write to me and let's arrange a meeting!
Humans - Axel

Damn, who is playing Necromancer for you guys, what a loser??  No, I understand that Warlock and Elves are struggling, but Necromancer should be in first (1st) place. There should be no Humans there. Only dead people.
By the way, Mish-gan, shouldn't we fight soon? I've already installed Hamachi; let me know when.
