The version of the game Heroes of Might and Magic V has been on sale for a long time. Sellers present it as an "alpha version" or even a "demo version" of the game, although in reality, it is one of the first working versions of the game that is more than a year old. At one time, during the development process, this version became accessible to people who leaked it. About a year later, the version was uploaded to the internet, and now it has been copied onto CDs for sale.
It is understandable that fans of the series are eager to try out the fifth installment of the game. However, we must warn all potential buyers of these discs that, due to its age, this version does not even provide a rough idea of the game – it contains outdated graphics, a schematic Gameplay, and is practically unplayable due to its instability. Therefore, Nival Interactive urges fans of the Heroes of Might and Magic series not to waste their money and time on this version, which cannot provide either information about the fifth installment of the series or simple enjoyment.

How to distinguish a pirated version from a licensed one:

The original Heroes of Might and Magic V disc has a blue semi-circular edge on the right + the presence of logos of Nival Interactive and Ubisoft. Inside the box there is a coupon for participation in the "Postcard Promotion".

I played the alpha version, and I liked it, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else, because while I can tolerate the numerous flaws, most other people are too critical. It's an alpha version from a year ago, and it has very little in common with the actual game, which is already apparent now.
Yeah, I took a quick look, and I was annoyed by those who posted it, because I worked on the disks, and people were complaining that such a terrible game would be released. I hope they all die, because the game will actually be completely different and 1000 times better, I'm telling you.
P.S. The alpha version is from 2003.
I sometimes play the Alpha version, but it usually crashes after about 2 hours of gameplay, so I haven't finished the map. I wouldn't recommend buying this version of the game either.
I ran it for about half an hour. It was launched through a .bat file. Anyway, I shouldn't have launched it. Honestly, I regretted it later. If I hadn't, buying the licensed version would have been a surprise, but instead, it was just a disappointment – the most important thing is that everything is restricted; you can't zoom the camera, and you can't do anything useful.
On one Polish website, an image for the Heroes V box was found. Fabrice confirmed that this image is not a fake, but it is not yet the final version. It is interesting to note the inscription at the bottom, "PC DVD-ROM," indicating that the game will be distributed on DVD discs.

But somehow, it doesn't quite work out. Children under 12 can't play, and all the monsters are cartoonish :( And why is only Ubisoft listed:confused: On the old Heroes boxes, both 3do and NWC were listed.
This is the European and American cover. Ours will be from 1C and will feature Nival. It's strange, even for Europe, not to mention the developer; I think this is a beta version of the cover. :) The Knight is a bit too bulky, though.
