You can hold your own qualifying tournament in Minsk on any terms that suit you; the main thing is that three finalists are selected. In addition, 18 more people will be selected in six other cities.
Then, the finalists – approximately 18-22 people – will vote on where, when, and on what terms to play. In addition, TE-Lite would be a good compromise between TE players and SoD players; no one would have a reason to slam the door. The fact is that a unifying tournament and a legitimate champion of the Heroes world are long overdue.
Well, if they vote to play the final with entry fees, that's their right.

Ideally, the final needs a city where Heroes are the priority, and everything else is secondary, including poker and buffets. Otherwise, it might turn out that we just promote Kingisepp, and that's it – and there, poker will traditionally be the main thing; the Heroes final will either not take place or will be formal. Those who come to play Heroes will leave extremely dissatisfied. This would be a failure for the Heroes community, considering how much effort and time has already been invested in it; people might not be able to gather for a new unifying tournament.
I'm not advocating for Michurinsk. If people vote for a city where they want to play the final, and the organizers guarantee that the final will be played as it should be for the most important Heroes event of the year, then I will vote for that city myself – Kingisepp, St. Petersburg, Moscow… it doesn't matter.

By the way, the qualifying tournaments can be a barometer of what will happen in the final.

The Olympic format is not good; a bad respawn, and that's it – you're out, while in the Swiss system, even with one loss, a person still has a chance to be at least in the top three. And many people want to play more than one game, especially since people will travel so far for the final.

A contribution of $500 should be made personally for Vasya, Alex, and their colleagues who share this passion. For every half-hour delay in the tournament in favor of poker, $100 should be deducted.

To be honest, I don't like the idea of various fees, except for organizational expenses. But the idea of having top players come (and undoubtedly many would come just for the idea itself) would be much better!

For some, $500 is just one buy-in, and for others, it's a month's salary :smile32:. That's why many will be against it. BUT no one is stopping you from agreeing and playing among yourselves for a stake ;)

Kingisepp is not a very good option. People mainly go there to play poker. Moscow-St. Petersburg is a good choice, and in St. Petersburg, you don't even need to look for a club. Michurinsk, by the way, is a good option. The only thing that bothers me is the layout of the club – it is divided into 3 small rooms, and there is very little free space.

The advantage of Kingisepp is that it's a recreation center, so you can combine business with pleasure. As for the timing, it's approximately January 3-7, so there's no problem with having enough time for everything with proper judging.
