Took all the rests, the spawn was fine, a Dragon Fly Hive and Griffin Conservatory near the Castle, but no treasure caves, a Conflux bot running around on the sands nearby. On the first week, 1-6 without 5 in the Castle.
On the second week, I painted the bot's Conflux, which had a Castle in it, I decide to build Griffins, take a Dragon Fly Hive on day 6, and another Dragon Fly Hive gets revealed for 20-49 Generals, I set up chain pickets and scoop up all the money objects in the area with heroes. I build Griffins, I have enough gold left for a buyout on 131. In a friendly chat, I'm told that Gosha has arrived and intends to get to work :(
On the third week, I take 2 Griffin Conservatories and another Dragon Fly Hive, and then Shakti comes running. I attack, and the Miner retreats, Vistan is left with 2 Geese, but there's still plenty of meat in the capital, though no money for a buyout, a Dragon Utopia is revealed.
141 Spend all resources, buy out troops, and into the portal to the opponent. I take a Pandora's Box for 10k experience, max out Dragon Fly Hives, and receive news that the skeleton count has already exceeded 300... I free Broghild from prison with Scout expertise, and he finds 3 more Dragon Fly Hives nearby. I contemplate taking them and splitting up, aiming for the Dragon Utopia, but the next day the scout spots Gosha with 2 Angels and the Miner with all his might and -2 morale.
Notes of a Dead Troglodyte (found by the blue lizards on the battlefield).
Today, on Monday of the first week of Events, the day began with alarming news of yet another war – this time against the swampy, slimy creatures. Well, we're used to it. Commander Shakti gave the order, and we, with hellish hatred, are ready to tear everyone apart in our path! Sir Shakti appointed me as his personal scribe-chronicler, since I, judging by the way things are going, am the only literate Troglodyte out of over 110 (well, there are also about thirty volunteer Gremlins, but a different fate awaits them…). Our campaign began with robbing a nearby bank; I counted 100 guards, plus those fat dwarves showed their so-called "morale" 3 times, causing all the greenhorn Gremlins and about a dozen of my brethren to fall.
On Tuesday, our "dear father" reached the 4th level of combat mastery, and 4 scouts are running around, though nothing is clear yet: roads upon roads everywhere and nothing worthwhile.
Some wolves are howling around – pitch blackkkk. And I've been afraid of wolves since childhood; my mom used to love reading me the story of Little Red Riding Hood at night, and now I'm under a red flag – a bad omen, dammit! Plus, the commander-in-chief announced that tomorrow we're going after a whole horde of them, all for some suspicious "external dwelling"... Someone passed word that 7 "eyes" are coming to us – are they mocking the blind?? There still won't be enough for everyone!..
In the "external dwelling," as it turned out, serious guys were hiding – red, hot, and legless – hardcore! We caught two of them, and two more somehow exited from our capital, or do I have a concussion and things are doubling in my eyes?.. In fierce battles, about a dozen more loyal Troglodytes perished.
Friday, time to return and rest, but we're wandering through some snow, it's cold brrr (during smoke breaks, we gather with the bros around those flying heaters, seemingly Israeli, because they call them "Hebrews," we even try to bake potatoes little by little…).
We stumbled upon some giant cemetery in these snows with all sorts of skeletons and zombies – was it worth the trek?? Our chief miner dug up the following in his mastery: some kind of pipe, presumably for Dynamo fans (wrapped in a blue-and-white flag), rusty armor, and a paper against a backdrop of the Himalayas (a ticket perhaps? As he explained to me, over time with the help of such a "paper," he could almost move mountains – has he caught a cold and is feverish, the poor guy??..).
The second week of Events has already begun, and we're messing around with all sorts of nonsense: poking into various side exits – all lead to the cold! They promised to deliver fifty "spirits" – the "grandpas" can't wait: no one to wash their socks, for crying out loud!
Went for some gloves, the latest fashion craze, they say. Our scouts found 2 refugee shelters of deserters and "scythe-men," they'll soon be delivered to the front, where the veterans will give them a "sweet life"! Some famous Gosha started fighting for us: I need to ask the guys – who's this Gosha, not Kutsenko, is it? Oh! Forgot to say: they promised to finally feed us tomorrow! Canned food, stewed chicken, it seems! We're drooling!...
The canned food was tasty, but partially very expired, due to which about forty of my battle brothers died on the spot. Shakti said there's more – and fresher, we're running there… After the 2nd serving of canned food, everything started to blur: it constantly seems like 5 angels are flying above me, and what we're doing – who cares: it's fun! We got out onto some grass and captured a village of Centaurs, but there was no time to hang out with them…
A swampy guy Bron showed up with 4 angels (I guess they got not-so-expired canned food – some people have all the luck!), but we tricked him like a sucker and traded 1 of ours for 3 of his: so he knows!.. Our leader tried to climb a tree but didn't make it, even though he killed a bunch of one-horned horses (man, we're tripping – there are also mushrooms, besides the expired cans!).
Swamp-guy #2 showed up – Wistane with completely un-swampy birds burning "like crazy" and stole our tree, then immediately attacked us. His parameters total 2 higher, hard to estimate by troops, but let's say approximate equality… 20 Wyverns, 6 birds, and an angel + chaff on his side, and 4 angels, 10 Efreet, and 127 Troglodytes + chaff on ours. Our dad drank all his mana and predictably got stuck: the swamp guy created a "swamp" for us on the battlefield for a full 4 rounds, we moved like zombies! In the end, seven Troglodytes, including me, retreated, having killed almost all of the "slimy" army…
Then the 4th week started. Our army now had far more dead than alive, but we didn't worry about it – dad's "Dynamo" pipe in his skill slots was ruling ;). They brought us more canned food – it went down a treat. Checked what was on the "TV" – turned out it was just maintenance time, and Shakti apparently didn't have the wisdom to set up the "TV"… We captured the second village of Centaurs, and suddenly the famous Gosha appeared there (still not Kutsenko – the guy's older), straight into battle against a whole walking taiga with minimal archers in the army, oh, what a mess he made, and he's aiming to be dad besides Miner, the bastard!.. Behind the "walking taiga," we only found some trinket amulets for the neck, nothing special – our little Miner's morale immediately went to hell after that.
Our army grows by leaps and bounds: every battle brings 20-30 new recruits! And tomorrow we're planning to devour some Imps: yum-yum! But what's this??! Oh no! Why did we leave Gosha with artifacts on speed?? Haste on skeletons?? How stupid!.. (everything after is drenched in the dark blood of an underground creature).
P.S. I'm concluding that I'm playing more and more stupidly each time – this is starting to resemble some kind of degradation. The remaining tournament games won't decide anything for me anymore, so I'll treat them as "for fun." Although this one, as stupid as it was – I still liked it: though there were no Utopias and such, just the battles of the weaklings alone are worth it – definitely more than a dozen! (I think I won them ;) ). And everything was decided on a knife's edge more than once: if I had gotten a Griffin Conservatory on an angel, literally just 1 more out of the first 2 – it would've been my advantage; if I had reached the captured tree in a couple more moves – definitely my win; forget about Conservatories and Hives! If just 1 morale had come to me in time in the 1st final (and it was +2) – that's it, 99% I'm the winner, and Wistane would have to scramble – in short, it was fun, no matter what you say...:)
Thanks, Slava, and to you too!

We played in several sessions, so I don't remember everything) Two lizard external dwellings, native secondary town, with a hydra external dwelling on it, which I took on the second. Also on the second, I broke two medusa and two naga dwellings, but was seriously short on money. At the start of the third, with vives, hydras, a bunch of lizzies, and an angel, I wandered into a grass treasure zone. There's a library, one tree, all the water and the entire 4th floor, 2 angel external dwellings. My path was blocked by a horde of fanatics, maybe a hundred of them, and on grass too... Anyway, I left there) In the corner of the snow secondary town is a pre-max Dragon Utopia. At the start of the fourth, I took it with 8 hydras without losses) Got a toall shield, wings, and completely useless air buffs and Water Breath) TP-ed home, healed mana, took max-//cans. Grade vives and hydras and went visiting. Positioned myself near ГО so that the opponent couldn't see me... However, he still saw Tazars hooves))) I fly over ГО, run along the path and bump into Nelka with 2+3+5 fire elementals and a 3+3+3+2 earth dwelling. I have 9 gr.hydras, 24 gr.vives, 8 angels, about 20 gr.flies, and around 160 gr.lizzies. Plenty of speed units - no need to let Nelka go. I attack, set up my tactics, wipe out 3 stacks with a meteor. And then finish off the rest) Thanks for the game)

I left there, basically) In the corner of a snowy secondary town, a pre-max Dragon Utopia. At the start of the fourth, I took it with 8 hydras without losses) It gave a shield of the tual, wings, and completely unnecessary air boost and water boost) I Town Portal'd home, healed mana, took the max conservatory. Upgraded Wyverns and hydras and went visiting. I positioned myself near the ГО so the opponent couldn't see me... However, he still saw Tazar's hooves))) I fly over the ГО, run along the path and run into Nelka with 2+3+5 fire elementals and 3+3+3+2 earth elementals. I had 9 upgraded hydras, 24 upgraded Wyverns, 8 angels, about 20 upgraded flies and about 160 upgraded lizards. I had enough fast units - I could keep Nelka from retreating. I attack, position myself in tactics, wipe out 3 stacks with meteor. And then I finished off the rest) Thanks for the game)
I confirm. The setup was decent, although there were no external dwellings, but there was enough gold, chests and banks. Nella had full control, 2 secondary Conflux towns, but Tazar's stats and army outmatched mine. When I saw Tazar's hooves in the darkness near the ГО, I decided to sacrifice myself, thin out Tazar's army with Armageddon and surrender. I left all the army in the secondary town, took a stack of welders, earth elementals (mistake: I didn't take genies for speed), teleported to the capital, and went out to the middle of the road. Tazar attacked and, having positioned in tactics, killed Nella in the very first round. Too bad, in a day I would have set the birds and could have set things on fire properly... Basically, I overthought it a bit, my own fault... Thanks to Roma for the game! :)
And the whole thing is that Vitya belongs to the "auto-givers" tribe, and that's not good:smile17:! No matter how you feed a bad player with humanitarian rests, he'll always look at canned goods:o... Both times, he lost in mini-conquests, so that says it all.
Holy crap, what a report. Alright I'll explain a bit )) It was a dumb idea to play full random. First it gave me Solmyr - rest, three times swamp. First one - everything was sweet, Kostya restarted. Second one - total ass, I restarted. Third one - swamp vs swamp, we play. 111 found Tazar level 1 in a prison, but barely played him 114 picked up Conflux and 2 external dwellings of Earth elementals, a guy with +350 and 4 levels expert Offense with Earth, also Dragon level 3, Taz level 2, I'm running through rough terrain to my native secondary for Dwarves past a Griffin Conservatory and Imp gate. Built Vassals without Wyverns, their external dwelling for Greater Basilisks untouched, Gnolls were scrounged, there were about 61 of them. The opponent had that secondary along the road, but I can see from the scout that it's unbreached. He dives into the Conservatory for some reason... Dude, take the secondary first =) I screwed up a lot with chains, that's why I offered Kostya a restart, because there was nothing to win there. Half an hour of persuasion, and the game gave me something totally unreal: Rampart with Mephala and external dwellings of Centaurs, Dendroids, and Elves against underground Inferno. By the end of 111 my army was 60 Centaurs, 10 Elves (-1 to yellow Flies), 33 Troglodytes, 8 Evil Eyes, and 6 Dwarves (lost 3 as well). I got pretty discouraged, by 113 I pick up more external dwellings of Dendroids and Elves (albeit with hefty guards - minus 2 Elves and a dozen Centaurs), I don't even build Unicorns, I also have 2 secondary Grass tiles with Mages and Ice Elementals... However, Kostyan even with Inferno found an excuse to get into the Conservatory on the first. Respect of course, but you'd have been better off taking it)
Thanks for the chat. It's been a while since we played a proper game together
Regarding my loss with Inferno, by the way, an interesting tactical challenge emerges there. A minimal Conflux with a greased stack in the Dungeon. Ignat, level 3, 3-3, without a book, army, 21 Gogs, 5 Hounds, 93 greased Imps, and their single units. In my game, 1 Griffin survived :D, but for AlexTheGreat, to whom I gave that save, the opposite happened – a simply indecent number of Imps survived, I won't even say how many, so as not to shock... So, it's all about a special combat tactic; you need to somehow create a situation where 2 stacks enter the battle only when the rest are completely gone, and our Imps are only slightly damaged... How to do this is the crux of the matter... Offline masters, can you handle it?;)
Looks simple enough. I'll give it a try now. The first crude result is 35 Imps and 2 Gogs. -------- Well, let it stay that way ))
--------- And here's an example from my game — Adelaide, level 2, with Expert Wisdom, spells: Cure, Curse, Slow, Haste, Magic Arrow, mana 14. Stats: 1-0-3-2, mana 20. Army: 4 Birds, 2 Psychos, 19 Sprites — takes the maximum Dwarf Cottage on grass without GS. What losses would you take? Not too hard, but there's a nuance.
Starting in the underground with 125 trogs - excellent! 2 paths - one leads to metro GO devils, the second turned out to be an elevator to the red's secondary, completely hopeless. Standard setup for blue on sm-ka. Near the elevator, I scouted a passage into a grass treasure zone from a lookout. On the first day, I scoured my entire piece of the underground and only had enough money for 1-4 in the Citadel with mushrooms. I also upgraded harpies and built a market. Under the castle, a green teleport behind the wasps - I broke through them, but there were 20-49 mages on barbarian ground  . I scouted an external dwelling of minotaurs in the far corner. I take it and 2 nagabanks at the start of the second week, build a portal, and 170 trogs with 13 minotaurs go to loot the treasure zone. I foraged there until week 1, day 3, 7, killed 18 Wyverns, took the angel external dwelling, broke through a passage to the red's secondary, from money buildings there were only 3 imp huts :D . So at home and in the secondary, I built a thousand, added a Castle besides the minotaur dwelling. Absolutely zero money. Week 1, day 4, 1 I rebirth at home with mana refill and into the green teleport - there I break through into a treasure zone on lava. A Pandora's Box with 25 griffins, another Dragon Fly Hive minimal, and oh miracle - I finally see a Dragon Utopia! But just above it, I got a Pandora's Box behind a hundred woodcutters - it gave 5 angels!!! I almost fell out of my chair :smile13: . This has only happened to me once in all my time playing. An incredibly pleasant feeling! Total 8 angels, 22 Wyverns with the griffin feast break through the third. No control, but at least there's money. Right then Tazik appeared, I recall home and run to the GO, because the army isn't fully upgraded, and I need to move it back and forth 2 turns. The expert view had long been showing the native secondary of the reds and their approximate position, so I break through the devils without problems, but on that side there were faerie dragons - 8 of them turned out  ! Thank god I had a cloak, they killed 2 of my angels with lightning, but no one managed to take a second turn. I run into an empty Capitol, where the last week's growth had no cows or hydras, and upgrade the Wyverns. The next day I ran up the path to the beastly secondary - a Dragon Utopia with its guard broken, I max it! The opponent was very upset that I took away his last hope and surrendered after a couple of turns!
Confirmed! I'll start by saying that this was my first time playing Fortress, and as a result, I played terribly. We took almost all the respawns, mine was left at 113, I thought for a long time whether to take it or not, the Dungeon blocked one road, I see no money in my small respawn, but just above the Castle I see a Dragon Utopia and guards (20-49 hell hounds) leading to a neighboring native respawn, I decide to play. I take my native secondary hero and two external gnoll dwellings, two crypts (1000 and 1500), the passage to the grass is guarded (elves 20-49). I go around past that ill-fated Dungeon, and money is really tight, I took a Barbarian secondary hero and killed that damned Dungeon and immediately my home (wasting a week on this detour :( ). There wasn't a single beehive at my native respawns. And the saddest part: due to a lack of money, I didn't build either Behemoths or Hydras, I played without them. I took an Elf secondary hero, a level 6 beehive, and a blue scout. On 1.4.7 I took a shield for +6 and delved a bit into the treasure zone, I see two blue flags at the Dragon Utopia!!! A complete surprise. (First mistake: how did I not see that he was fattening up there all week??? I was watching Pietr's turn movie, what a fool, right?) Then the most interesting part began: I wanted to kill Shakti (he had fewer troops), I ran after him but couldn't catch up, took the gloves and headed for Pandora's Box. But then my main town was taken. How  ??? Two days ago Shakti was still in the treasure zone. Lightning fast and again unexpected. I'm being stupid with my Dragon Utopia: second mistake, I waited for growth for some reason (I was afraid of losing troops — the Dragon Utopia was max difficulty!) Although it could have been taken without major losses (I checked after the game). And Pietr takes it too, burying all my hopes. The Dragon Utopia had absolutely killer artifacts for attack and defense and +50,000 gold. If I had taken the Dragon Utopia in time, I think I would have won, or at least had a chance. Thank you for the game!!! P.S. And I wish Pietr good luck in the remaining games!
Seems simple enough. I'll try now. The first rough attempt – 35 Imps and 2 Gogs. -------- Well, let it stay that way. ))
Sorry for continuing the off-topic discussion, but right after the game, after about 4 attempts, I managed to win with 16 Imps remaining (1 morale for us, Alex had about 3, but he skipped 2, and the Griffons also had a lot of morale). Now, with a fresh mind, I managed to win with 43 Imps alive and no morale left:). This result was only achieved after the Imps made an unprovoked attack in the first round, and I spent 2 units on a counterattack, but it turned out to be worth it:rolleyes: ...
Added 1 minute ago If anyone is interested, I can send the save file, but I'm not good with archiving:o, so I'll send it via ICQ...
Of course, I didn't bother with morale calculations. I only used single units for distractions and attacked directly with Imps. An important point is to make sure that there aren't any Griffons with 1 or 2 hit points left, as they move before the others; otherwise, they will attack the weakened stack after the retaliation is removed. Basically, if the Griffons don't lose morale, you can leave them with around 40 Imps.
