The Two-Faced Jewish Victor.
After all the tumultuous events of the last nine days, it seemed that everything should calm down, especially since Hitler and the Doctor survived (miraculously!). But on the 10th night, another shot rang out - the cursed destroyer of the Jewish and other peoples - Adolf Schicklgruber, also known as Hitler, also known as the Führer, also known as Zybr :) - believing that a cruel execution was the best option for himself, preferred to shoot himself upon seeing the avenger - Ulric (also known as Freud) - burst into his room. This time, he didn't hide - he had a machine gun and clearly didn't bode well. Gritting his teeth, he said: "You'll pay for my personal Torah, Fritz," - and before Ulric could blink, his victim committed suicide. Well, one scoundrel less. The editorial staff of "Deutsche Zeitung" congratulates the winners and their new masters - the glorious subjects of Great Britain!!!

A few words from the GM.

The game, naturally, turned out to be the worst (at least the least popular) of all for a number of reasons:o ... Mainly because of me personally (inexperience, work schedule incompatible with normal GMing, etc.), but you, gentlemen, also distinguished yourselves with excessive activity (there are many reasons for this: the Mafia has become stale, and we didn't take a break, and the timing of the newspaper releases, and maybe the "lack of promotion" of the author's name, i.e., me :) - in contrast to Zybr, who is already well-known, and who knows how many more...). I confess, all the clues were at least "2-step": i.e., "what I see is what I say" - there was nothing like that at all, maybe that's what put some people off the game with its "intellectualism"?:confused: Waiting for such a primitive clue at least at the end of the game:rolleyes: - apparently, that's how the key character Zybr was caught. Although, how could I have given something as obvious as "sulfur" - this word is written directly in Hermit's signature, and "fire" - it's just on the clan's coat of arms:eek: (even if something was planted...). And yet, if you carefully study the profile of the former Ulric - what is the first thing that catches your eye besides "Freudianism"? "comics" in the signature! That's where the only clue in this case came from: the words "devil" and "demon" (they are also "the devil's brotherhood, big and small") from the characters' lines - and you don't even need to know Ukrainian to read them :). So, thank you all for the game! Especially: Freud - for the idea of the setting and help with terminology; Zybr - for mentoring and help in controversial moments; Arandor - for sometimes replacing me in counting the results and other GM routine (when I couldn't); and the best IMHO player of this and IMHO probably all the Mafias - Kyle :smile02: , who made a certain number of successful kills, independently solved other people's murders (first of all - SteN and Neyra Drake) and often provided additional clues - in short, it was definitely his triumph:cool:!

The logic will be posted later. Well, that's it: I'm waiting for rotten tomatoes and rotten eggs:smile39:...

Well, we lost, so we lost :) And that happens too. In my opinion, the main advantage of this Mafia game was that it proved that there should be breaks between games! So I hope the next Mafia game doesn't start before the 17th. As for the success of the GM, it was quite well done for a first time. The most pleasant thing is that Kostya finally managed to overcome the chaos that simply loomed at the beginning and often interfered. So, as far as I'm concerned, he can confidently run another game, the main thing is to think through the setting and atmosphere in detail in advance and not rush the process. By the way,

it seems that the key character, Zybr, was caught. Although, how could I have given such an obvious clue as "сера" - this word is literally written in Hermit's signature, and "огонь" - it's just on the clan's emblem.

Here, I was more caught up in emotions, I reasoned more based on discussions in ICQ, thinking that the game was already over. I think I've learned a lesson for myself - I won't discuss the Mafia too much in ICQ, except with my teammates, if there are any:)(Kyle, you're bad :D). Well, in general, thank you all, the audience was a little lacking, but they can be understood :) Congratulations to Kostya on the successful completion of the 5th Mafia game!:smile49: Well done for bringing it to a logical conclusion, despite all the difficulties.

yes, breaks definitely need to be taken)). Maybe that's why my desire and activity were lower than in previous Mafia games, although it could also be due to the setting, as I don't really like games (and other things) about World War II (or even World War I), but that's just my opinion, I don't know how others feel...
But overall, the game was good, although not without a couple of drawbacks (activity, etc.), but the clues were decent, although I didn't really figure anything out myself.

Daring Murder.
Last night, the well-respected WisTrit was shot to death in his bedroom. The murder of a prominent employee of the Third Reich headquarters cannot be left unnoticed! Only a note was found at the crime scene; on a white sheet of paper, only one word was written in blood: "City...". It appears the murder was committed already at sunrise.
[Gur correctly solved the clue, respect to him for that! The group "Gorod-312" (I don't listen to them myself, but their hit "Ostanus..." is quite famous), which pops up first in Google for the query "312" - a number present in the killer's nickname - nik312. The fact that "the murder was committed apparently already at sunrise" was meant to point not to the time of death, but to the killer's affiliation with an Eastern group – i.e., Russians)) ]

Strange Popularity.
Major Vikhr says he opened the door to a stranger and received a powerful blow to the head with a thick book (!!!); he suspects organized Jewry of the attempt. Later, someone else visited him and apparently brought him back to consciousness, but he remains silent about who it was...
Failed murder attempt by Ulrik. Planted clue – Torah. There is reason to nitpick me here – since I didn't give "Torah" immediately, only the "book". If anyone is strongly offended by this fact, I apologize. Doctor Lu41k in action.

Not All Is Bad!
It was pleasant to see the usually gloomy Kyle in a high mood; for some reason, he was smiling very strangely and refused an interview – I wonder why?..
The Radio Operator visited.

This Isn't Funny!
An enraged Arandor ran to complain to the Gestapo, as according to him, "two guys" were bothering him at night! The same applies to Lu41k's complaint about an intrusion into her home, although without serious consequences. WhiteLizard also contacted the police with similar claims...
The Abwehr special agent and the adjutant visited Arandor. A private visited Lu41k. A concentration camp worker visited Lizard.

Also, the late WisTrit tried to recruit SteN, but it didn't work – so I decided not to overload the newspaper with this detail...

Smile of Death.
Today, WhiteLizard was found with his throat slit from ear to ear. The body was discovered almost immediately by a neighbor, as the door was unlocked and the banging from gusts of wind woke him up. A long cigarette was still smoldering in the ashtray, and the ice had not yet melted in the martini glass... In general, that is all we know so far about this chilling story.
Neyra Drake, learning of the radio operator's bad status, killed according to the rules – automatically. One clue – "ice", pointing to the most famous character from the most famous cartoon "Ice Age" - the squirrel own (killer) from the killer's userbar. "Long cigarette" and "martini" are signs that 2 women were present here in one way or another (the role of "radio operator" and Neyra herself in real life)) ). There were also false leads (like a surprise from the GM): "gusts of wind" could lead to thoughts of Major Vikhr, and "chilling story" – on one hand emphasized the ice, but on the other – distracted from it, since 2nd clues generally don't exist as a rule)).

But everyone was far more shocked by the terrorist act, a successful assassination of a high-ranking official - Kash. A neat little hole had been made in his back exactly opposite the heart with something sharp; it is not yet specified what, but it looks like a knife, albeit a very narrow one. The killer apparently descended from the attic, where a wide piece of coarse fabric of unknown purpose was found. Oh, what a wonderful man our Kash was; his favorite wisest words are still fresh in everyone's memory: "All non-Aryans are doomed to extinction!"
Kyle enters the game. Clues: mine – "DZ Kirzhach" with a parachute, and his – "extinction", which not only "all non-Aryans" but also the beast from his avatar are doomed to;). I just noticed my own "screw-up" here - there is no hint at the killer's affiliation with Britain...

Poor Arandor.
"These night vigils have already gotten to me!" he stated today to the appropriate authorities. "Order is order," they replied.
Repeated check by the Abwehr special agent (such are the rules) and interrogation at the Gestapo.

Born with a Silver Spoon.
Major Vikhr, returning home after midnight, discovered that not everything was in order – an outsider was here! And then a shot rang out! Our hero felt terrible pain in his shoulder, but still almost caught another disturber of our headquarters' peace. Unfortunately, he still managed to slip away unrecognized and left no traces – worked cleanly, the rascal! But there is good news: the bone wasn't hit!;).
SteN had a misfire. Lu41k is on top of it! ("bone wasn't hit" – Zubr correctly noted that this is an indication of the Doctor: indeed – such a prompt diagnosis;))

A Little Romance...
Lu41k told us a simply heart-wrenching story: leaving for work in the morning, she noticed the same young man who had been walking around her yard yesterday – she was about to call for help, but he seemed to get scared himself and ran away, only accidentally dropping a note, and in it... a love letter signed Romeo. Yes... Love is no obstacle to war!
For the second night in a row, Private Gur guarded the peace.

The Scavengers' Find.
In a trash container near Major Vikhr's house, a blood-stained book in Hebrew was found (experts claim it is the so-called Torah). The Major recognized it as the weapon of the first attempt on his life.

Innocently Slain.
Last night, a severe thunderstorm broke out over the capital; it happened that the sky seemed to mourn another victim – Tengro. He was an extremely modest and decent man. He lost a great deal of blood but still miraculously held on until morning. He even managed to glimpse his killer, but only had time to say: "I saw! It's, it's...". It remained a mystery how Tengro could see in total darkness – after all, wires almost everywhere in the city were torn by strong gusty winds, and there were no stars in the sky...
SteN tried his best. Clue – biography in profile: "Light in the dark". It was implied that a flash of lightning illuminated the face or something like that ("lightning" is also "lightning" in English). "Stars" - a hint at the USSR.

Murder to Music.
Returning from work at night, Ple-sen put on his favorite Wagner on the gramophone and, judging by the pile of fresh cigarette butts in the ashtray, thought intensely about something... His reflections were interrupted by a fatal shot. The killer dropped one, but very substantial clue: an airline ticket to Pearl Harbo... (the corner is torn), round trip, 4.LOTR 3:14; and on the back, a strange red cross disproportionately extended to the right. The investigation is currently at a dead end...
WishmasteR is the killer, Amko guessed correctly – well done! And Kyle – well done – beautifully sold out his accomplice;). Clues: nickname (Nightwish music video for the same-named song – frames from the movie "Pearl Harbor", translated from English as "pearl harbor"; no explanation needed for why aviation is involved)) ) and I was told by the spy – "Lord of the Rings", but with my creative processing (I was told to "come up with something beautiful there") – so I came up with it in a way that Hommie wouldn't be hung immediately...). "Strange red cross disproportionately extended to the right" - for those who didn't know, is the flag of England (it has a separate flag from the general UK flag: namely, on a white background, a red cross "disproportionately extended to the right")) ).

Who Can't Sleep Again?
Today Mr. Kyle was again in a bad mood; according to him, for the nth time he was subjected to humiliating surveillance.

Unfortunately, we didn't have time to cover this fact yesterday, but as we have learned, the origin of the "wide piece of coarse fabric" from Kash's attic has been definitively established – it is none other than a former parachute canopy! Bravo to our valiant investigative bodies! Deutschland is proud of you! Soon all anti-German elements of the headquarters will be identified and liquidated.

Fatal Mystery.
A strange tragic event occurred under Neyra Drake's windows. There, in the morning, a random passerby stumbled upon Gur's body. Thoroughly searching the scene, investigators only found in the victim's pocket a Russian-language calendar leaf with a so-called "children's page" and a poem by Korney Chukovsky:
They flew to the raspberries,
Wanted to peck at them,
But saw a monster
And quickly left the garden.
And the monster sits on a stick
With a beard made of same-old rope.
Someone had already written in German ink on this leaf: "You're far from Matrosov, fascist scum!"
The solution to the mystery is simple – "scarecrow". SteN has words in his profile: "Don't be afraid of me, I'm not scary, it's just my job". What kind of scarecrow is scary?)) that's where the dog is buried! Why under Neyra's windows? Very simple: because of unrequited love for Lu41k, our "Romeo" Gur decided to find solace in the arms of Neyra Drake)), where death finally caught up with him. There are plenty of hints at Russians – pick any).

God Didn't Save the Careful...
One more crystal-honest person is gone. This time Arandor perished. As funny as it is, his excessive caution failed him: the thing is, lately he developed a bad habit of looking through the keyhole before opening the door to guests. Apparently, someone knocked at night – as a result, our wretch lost not only an eye but also his life. Something long and sharp entered his brain quite deeply. The guest, as they say, left without saying goodbye. Blood flowing from under the door only mixed with ash from his cigarette. Nothing more. But a minute later, another subject in military uniform descended from the upper landing; it seems he witnessed this atrocity.
The killer is Kyle. Again 2 clues: mine – "ash" (to make the solution easier I even mixed it with blood!), pointing to the phoenix – symbol of the clan Kyle belongs to (they rise from the ashes, the most famous fact about phoenixes in theory...) and a kyle-clue – the ability to penetrate very narrow gaps with the middle finger, again his creature's trait from the avatar (to obtain food). Kyle "left without saying goodbye" - meaning "the English way";).

Ruined Date.
Neyra Drake looked very upset, as she was rudely prevented from going to a meeting with her other half (according to her). And she was questioned quite impolitely for half the night.

Fight Drunkenness!
Amaranth showed up for work "tipsy". To the sarcastic teasing of colleagues: "Why is he so drunk – beer or schnapps?"- he invariably answered: "Purest alcohol!" - and winked. Where is his immediate own boss looking?

Martini with... fur.
Experts studying the glass from WhiteLizard's murder scene accidentally found a couple of stuck hairs on its bottom, presumably from a rodent. All pet owners were interrogated rigorously, without result.

No Fate?
This inscription, but in an affirmative form and as "no fate" in Latin characters, our local Holmeses had the "pleasure" to read today. It was scratched on the handle of the now-familiar murder weapon. And it turned out to be – what would you think – an ordinary work pickaxe. Where it came from in the house of the deceased Amaranth or how one could walk freely with it after curfew is still being clarified...
Again 2(!!!) clues for Kyle! And both on the nickname! How this could not be solved, I still don't understand... Both clues were created and discussed collectively with the "killer", so I won't say which was planted and which was mine... "PICKAXE" (KIRKA) is the same as "KYLE-AXE" (KAYLO), absolute synonyms (Kyle didn't mind such a distortion of his nickname). And NO FATE – the most famous inscription from Terminator 2, scratched on the table by Sarah Connor, author Kyle Reese (the full version sounds like: "No fate but what we make"). Considering that as far as I know – Kyle Reese is one of the main characters of the trendy Terminator 4 (maybe not all youth saw the 2nd...) – it was possible to guess. The word "Holmeses" - a reference to England.

ZYbr speaks up.
Our usually unnoticed ZYbr kept imagining spies last night. "I might as well assign guards to myself!"- he joked. HoM[M]ie laughed sincerely at this joke, because he himself suffered from insomnia and "visions".

The headquarters' boxing champion SteN came to service with a "black eye" and a couple of knocked-out teeth. Hmm... who could do such a thing to him – slamming SteN against the wall is certainly not within everyone's power! There were no competitions yesterday. Could he have been brawling in taverns all night? No wonder he was yawning all the time... It's time to end this debauchery once and for all, without finally becoming like the lower races!

As we have learned from reliable sources, yesterday's information about a witness to Arandor's murder turned out to be false. The eyewitness was just a tiny bit too late; our "jack-stabber" proved very nimble.

Our dear, own Führer decided to reveal himself in these troubled and dangerous times. All of Great Germany stands and applauds this decisive, courageous act of a true Aryan – ZYbr!
SteN went on a mission.

Cut Wire.
"Put the phone down!!!" - apparently, those were the last words Rift heard in his life. He was found with the telephone "receiver" in his hands, but on the floor and with a cut wire. Who cut the wires and killed him with a shot exactly between the eyes of the poor honest employee of the Third Reich headquarters – we are sure the police will soon answer. If it is the same spy as in the last few episodes – then he is acting simply royally!
Kyle committed his 4th successful murder! The clue is incredibly stupid: "Let there be light, said the electrician, and cut the wires" - "Let there be light, said the fitter, and lit a fire on the floor". "Royally" - a hint at England.

Three.
One satisfied and relaxed – Major Vikhr. A second skeptical and alert – Kyle. A third tense and bitter – Ulrik. Such interesting differences in the moods of our employees we could observe today...

Today only 2 more or less significant events happened to the employees of our headquarters. Hence the shortened version of the newspaper. Besides, it's war, you know – one must save at some point, even on paper.

Clue – a strange bundle.
This morning, our unsociable Major Vikhr did not wake up. He was found lying in the middle of his own ransacked apartment; nearby lay a broken framed photograph (him during a safari, stepping on a just-shot lion) and, probably, his order – an iron cross, wrapped in an arrest warrant form. Before death, he was even tortured, being stabbed in various places, and then shot in the temple. Monsters must be severely punished!
The 5th murder of "jack-stabber")))! There's not a single spot left on his profile, damn! Clue: order-warrant again for Phoenix)) – I just liked the wordplay (in English "order", and in Russian "orden"). It's as simple as day!). The lion – symbol of the British crown, present on the coat of arms.

Who is watching the Führer?
Apparently another assassination attempt is being plotted against the great leader Adolf Hitler. Because by morning, undeniable traces of all-night surveillance were found under his window. Who else besides cursed Jewish terrorists could have needed this?

A simple electrician accidentally helped the investigation into Rift's murder. He only said that "cut wires" are their, the electricians', professional joke about the first day of creation, though not the only one...

Führer in Danger!
Today someone, as we suspect, from among the especially conscientious citizens committed a very ambiguous act: on one hand, he killed the observer of our great Adolf Hitler, and on the other, a rather significant employee of the headquarters, albeit not the best – Hermit. But wait! For "jack-stabber", it seems for the first time in his entire practice, there was a misfire! Hermit lost quite a bit of blood, but vital organs were not hit. He is in the hospital in satisfactory condition.
Lu41k's amazing female intuition worked! She revived specifically the good Hermit, although she had been digging against him at the time (3rd successful revival – along with 5 murders by one person a RECORD of all mafias, oh my!).

Gehenna of Fire.
A terrible death befell the valiant HoM[M]ie; a strong fire broke out in his house at night. When the fire was extinguished, the charred owner was found... The house smelled strongly of sulfur and overall it felt as if the whole demonic brood from small to great had held a feast here – such was the wreckage. As the investigation established, the cause of death could be either burns or 2 gunshot wounds – which indicate an undoubtedly violent nature of this decent man's demise. Oh yes, we cannot fail to mention a very strange circumstance – in the deck of cards found in the burnt house, only the Queen of Spades remained...
The killer is the last surviving spy Ulrik-Freud. Clue - words of 2 weirdos from the signature: "devil" and "demon" ("demonic brood from small to great"). "Smell of sulfur" - just an attribute of hell and nothing more. Hint at the English – the queen is also Qween, preserved ( ”God, save the Qween” – anthem of England).

Night Surveillance Continues...
This night, the great leader of the German nation Adolf Hitler - ZYbr almost spotted this arrogant intruder who has been watching him for 3 days now. But as always, this rogue managed to escape.
Poor, poor Hermit...

By the way, I still think Kyle has 4 kills. Let's just say, after the 4th, he should have been caught:)

Ugh, it's tough, but when you see a replay, you think, "How could I have been so clueless..." Although, I was seriously clueless :) Sorry, Kostyan, I don't know why, I just didn't feel like playing at all (for some reason, it seems like the setting was to blame, it felt a bit depressing), and when they planted evidence on me, I didn't even resist.

This is already getting to the point where it's a pain to search for.

Great! Thanks for the game. It’s a pity that work didn’t allow me to play properly. But I managed to guess correctly. I especially enjoyed it this time. I finally exposed Kyle. I already suspected both Kyle and Ulric, so I was left with the choice of either Hermit or Hommy, but I didn’t trust Hommy either, and therefore, despite my accusations against Hermit, I still thought he was innocent, and I should protect his health. You can consider this a bit of logic mixed with a good dose of intuition. Something like that... My dear "Romeo" Gur, forgive me... :smile05: I now feel guilty about your death... :( Oh, he protected me so well, and I didn’t manage to protect him... Just like with Major... I just didn’t have time to send the report (( I was working... :( Forgive me, Whirlwind... :(

Fascism didn’t triumph after all. Everything ended as it should, even in the game. Kostya, you are a good GM, you shouldn’t have criticized yourself so much. More practice, and everything will work out

Hi everyone, and congratulations to our British comrades! :) Kyle played great, and Luzhik was absolutely fantastic! After so many hits, I should have guessed it was her! When we went to kill Vortex, I was 100% sure he wouldn't be resurrected/protected that night. Well done, in short. A few more words about the game. I apologize to VisTrit - we just guessed, we had to start with someone. We happened to pick an Englishman, but when they literally wiped us out on the second night, there were few chances left. And Stan got stuck in real life at such an inopportune time... (hi, Stan!). Yes, Kostya didn't mention that on the second night, I managed to scout out Gur's status. We figured out it was Kyle because of the parachute and the beautiful elimination of Vishmaster; the phoenix ashes dispelled any remaining doubts. Stan was eager to kill him in the heat of the moment, but after thinking about it, we decided not to. On the one hand, it was a noble gesture, but mostly it was practicality. Kyle lived up to all expectations, thank you. When Kostya complained in ICQ that he didn't know what clue to give about the Englishman, I winked and said, "Let Kyle kill Kyle." As you can see, that's what happened. Stan didn't know about this, so it was all fair. Well, and I'll also say that Kostya did a good job overall - there were some delays, but he pulled through and managed. I hope there will be a sequel, but not right away, okay? :) P.S.
