Castle of Nightmares. Part 3

The morning sun rose again over the horizon, and the residents, exhausted from yesterday's arguments, gathered around the town crier. He looked grim: no grand gestures, no showy importance – he was sad and tired, just like everyone else, perhaps. Slowly unfolding the scroll with the news, he began his report:
-Residents of the Castle of Nightmares! Another murder occurred last night! WisTrit was found dead. Apparently, a merciless killer came to him at night and stabbed the poor fellow. On the floor, near the body, a flower was found, and the pleasant scent of perfume still lingered in the air. These are all the facts that the guard has reported to me.

-Someone is definitely following me!-exclaimed WhiteLizard,-And it wasn't just one person. I don't want to be the next victim! I don't want to! Where is the king when he is so needed?!

-Someone also tried to come to me,-added Kyle,-but they must have gotten scared because I wasn't alone. I was having tea with a friend again... but then we found someone's ear in the corridor, a pointed one. It seems it was a warning...

Suddenly, an agitated Hermit ran into the courtyard. His hands and feet were trembling; he seemed very frightened.

-Someone was in my room! The lock was broken! Someone scattered all my things! What is going on?!
The residents of the castle sighed in unison and went to see what had happened in Hermit's room.
