Okay, guys. Now I'll tell you my secret. Although, maybe it's not a secret for others. However, I'll share it.
So, what do you think the game starts with? Exactly! With the draft!
Since we're playing version SoD 3.2, we have the following balance of power.
As you know, there are 9 Castles, and the strongest ones are Necropolis and Conflux. Although they have been significantly weakened by the rules, their superiority over other Castles is still felt. This is where we get the first pair.
Next, there is the second strongest pair: Dungeon and Rampart. The second pair.
The third pair is Swamp - Castle.
And at the very bottom are Tower, Barbarian, and Inferno.
If we don't take into account the player's experience, playing Rampart against Dungeon, or Tower against Barbarian, you won't be in a disadvantageous position from the start.
Therefore, during the draft, if you draft second, stick to the pairs: if Necropolis is drafted, draft Conflux; if Inferno is drafted, draft either Tower or Stronghold. But if you draft first, it becomes more interesting. You can start with any Castle, but it's preferable not to choose from the last three (Barbarian, Tower, Inferno). And if your opponent doesn't draft a pair, then they're in trouble.
Example:
1) Dungeon!! (this is me drafting, just for fun):)
2) Conflux (says the unsuspecting opponent):)
3) Swamp (with an evil grin, I type, deliberately drafting a Castle from the 3rd pair):D
4) (What's left? The ranking by strength is Necropolis, Rampart, Castle, Barbarian, Swamp, Inferno. The opponent can draft anything, for example....) Castle.:p

I myself took 6 Wyverns on 111 as a miner; there was a block at the Castle made of a bunch of Orc Mages guarding the Hive. Well, I had restarts, and I decided that if I couldn't break through, I'd restart. The second non-native hero was a Necromancer with 26 Skeletons and 6 Zombies. Anyway, after the Orcs fell, I positioned the troops as follows: 1 Zombie - Troglodytes - 1 Zombie - Skeletons - 1 Zombie - 1 Zombie - 2 Zombies. There were 9 Bees per stack. While they were crunching bones with appetite, the Trogs took them out. Then I also took 1 Hive already for 4 Wyverns, and then the opponent took a restart(((

Dear players! We recently created the Tournament Committee of HOMM3 players (TC), which will be responsible for organizing and running tournaments. Also, the Academy of Martial Arts (AMA), which is part of the TC, is planning a major effort to improve players' skills. Very soon, several topics will appear in the /forum/section/201/ section. There will also be answers to all questions from beginners and not-so-beginners. We will study the "Young Fighter's Course" by Nagan-4 together.

As far as I remember, the main goal of the tournament was to improve the level of gameplay and integrate new players into the community. IMHO, the tournament has already started fulfilling its objectives even before it began.
Also, IMHO, you can stop waiting for new participants to register; it's not that they won't come at all, but the demand has already balanced out with the supply. I would recommend a draw. However, you probably won't listen to me.
