I confirm! Regarding the move, I disagree. I believe I had an advantage in troops. I made a mistake when I attacked the Angels with Devils (I should have attacked the Golden Dragons) and instead of creating a mass slow, I created a mass shield, then I think I would have won, because the Champions were already down. But history doesn't know the conditional mood! :smile01:

The deadline is flexible; there are still 7 days left – that is, until May 27 inclusive – since practically no one has played yet, and the draw was also delayed due to my fault.
The tournament will not be stopped just because no one is playing; those who have played will advance to the next round.

Opponent has LS with tactics and earth. Bleaks, mines, medusas, vampires, liches, horses, 7 necro-drakes.

Opponent's treasury is located in the upper corner; after some thought, I eliminate 3 necro-drakes with devils. Bleaks, efreets, and birds wait; bears and dogs move forward, and here is the first mistake – I don't move the ogres away, and they, along with the birds, take damage from the ballista :smile18: Next, I eliminate the birds, leaving 15. I manage to hit them :) Birds and efreets leave 1 necro-drake. Earth (shield) is shown; I dispel it.

I finish off the last necro-drake with devils; bleaks leave 3 birds, which fly towards the tent; efreets attack medusas; bears kill 8 horses; minotaurs are still blocked by the ballista, but not for long; I will soon release them with dogs :) second mistake.

Then I manage to move the efreets out of the corner and place devils in their place, and when the path to the liches is already open, in the next round, 10 devils should do a good job. They receive antimoral, lol, I was so annoyed. But there is justice; antimoral affects the bleaks, and 3 of my birds move; there are 8 bears, but they won't reach the liches; goats and ogres are in the way. After walking around the apartment, I sit down at the computer, cast haste on the goats (3 of them), remove the counterspell from the liches, and the bears halve them. GG:smile15:

There's not much to add here. I didn't expect Water, for some reason I was hoping for Air - but without mass protection, the defense didn't last long. Throughout the battle, Volodymyr maneuvered his level 7 units in such a way that it wasn't advantageous to shoot at them with liches, and the medusas quickly ran out, and he even managed to use Immoral once when they were almost intact... He surrendered when he had 10 devils and 8 bears left, plus a few other units, while I had 19 liches (which couldn't be closed anymore), 45 vampires, 4 Black Dragons, and almost all the Minotaurs. And regarding Immoral - that's normal; if Necropolis didn't have this ability, who would take them without the Transformer:D?

Thank you for what was so far the longest (the battle itself lasted almost 1.5 hours:eek:!) and most interesting game!

After the waves, when the Archmages received a bolt from the Birds, and then the dragons aged them, it became worrisome. But then all sorts of unexpected things stopped, and instead, my resistance worked once. And the Titans and Cyclops calmly held the defense until victory. I somehow overslept on the black map and gave Rampart against Dungeon, which, in my opinion, is already an advantage, combined with a definitely non-shooting Inferno (and the creatures are fatter, and the abilities are just too good for the forest faction:smile20:). So, I had a mindset of a guaranteed loss even during the bonus selection phase - and by turn 113, I was completely overwhelmed and ready to teleport (for the first time in all games, it happened so early:eek:!) - I didn't even try to come up with anything or calculate what the opponent would have:smile27:.

I picked the following: troops - devils, ifrits, demons, dogs, Cyclops, cats, and minotaurs, and bonuses - attack from Water, mana from Stronghold, and boots with a flask. The opponent had: devils, ifrits, pitfiends, dragons, elementals, dryads, and pegasi, also attack, but from Earth and +1 to defense instead of a flask.

I positioned my troops terribly: I always used to put dragons in the center so that my own wouldn't be blown away in the first round, but here, after watching screenshots from the latest tournament games, I decided to put them behind the tent, and even 2 hex-sized dogs in front of the tent - thereby creating a threat to myself of being blown away in the first round; because of this, I had to fly forward with the dragons without waiting - which, given the lack of support from the rest of the troops, meant losing gold to the elementals - minus 1 and minus 6, I had 10 left, then I quickly cast bless and attacked the undefended pegasi with ifrits - 9 left. But then I was "pleasantly" surprised, and at 90%, everything became clear to me:smile34:. First, everyone together attacked my Cyclops, and the pitfiends almost halved my ifrits, then they also attacked the devils together:mad:. They let my stronger units go, leaving about 4 each - however, I quickly made up for it with gold + on the dryads (but I also messed up here, exposing the minotaurs to be blown away by 2 surviving black dragons in retaliation). Cerberuses bit 2 stacks successfully once, but not the ones that could decide the outcome:D - ifrits and pegasi (halved both). There was a moment when I could have bitten them beautifully + the remaining gold, and I already moved my Cyclops out of the way so that the dogs could reach, but Volodymyr figured out this simple maneuver after a long thought and even more beautifully blocked the way with 7 dryads, so I had to be content with just the pegasi. I started attacking his devils too late, and I also spared the archers:rolleyes: and received an "endgame" with exactly 60 of my demons vs 4 dryads, 3 ifrits, 5 devils, 21 pitfiends, where I was carefully blinded three times and attacked without retaliation until they almost halved my forces, and then they came and just overwhelmed me:smile27: :smile34:. In short, a skillful game won against utter noobishness:o.

When I saw the replay, I realized he was in the semifinals. Good description, nothing to add. There was a moment, though, when the bolts hit the devils and everything went well, I doubted it a bit. When I left only the goats, I sighed with relief. A worthy battle, except for the first round, it wasn't necessary to throw dragons and efreets into the fray without support…

1. In the first game, I didn't think my opponent would give up their main artillery so easily – there, even a medium and small unit would have been enough. I prepared for a berserk attack, which forced me to pull Cerberuses off the defense. The terrain also played a role, significantly limiting the necessary maneuvers, and, most importantly, I underestimated my opponent, which led to my defeat.

2. Here, I had to fight tooth and nail for the victory. I usually consider air units in this mode to be a kind of "lol magic," because after mass haste, everything usually evens out and I gain the upper hand. But the air shield proved to be very inconvenient against ranged units, which greatly complicated the task. In this game, my opponent didn't focus on the mages in time, but instead finished off the weak stacks, which allowed me to win.

3. In the decisive game, after 10 hours of poker, I made a blunder! I took air for an offensive and, for the first time, instead of offense, I chose earth – I thought my opponent would also take it to strengthen the defense with ranged units and in case of mass slow on my troops. In the first round, I saw that my opponent again gave up their main artillery, and I decided to attack with mass haste after a wait, so that cruisers, nagas, and champions would be left out. But while I was calculating who would attack whom, I forgot that we were on a wait, and after casting mass haste, I was ready to do my thing. But then the turn passed to the Titans, and the dispel practically decided the outcome in the first round. Bolt on the Archmages and aging gave me hope, but when I reached the Titans with the support of the remaining defense, I had 60 Vampires and 60 Ogres left, which couldn't cope with the task.
I deliberately gave my opponent the Tower and Castle so that he would have a shortage of money, but mass haste decided everything.
