I somehow overslept on the black map and gave Rampart against Dungeon, which, in my opinion, is already an advantage, combined with a definitely non-shooting Inferno (and the creatures are fatter, and the abilities are just too good for the forest faction:smile20:). So, I had a mindset of a guaranteed loss even during the bonus selection phase - and by turn 113, I was completely overwhelmed and ready to teleport (for the first time in all games, it happened so early:eek:!) - I didn't even try to come up with anything or calculate what the opponent would have:smile27:.

I picked the following: troops - devils, ifrits, demons, dogs, Cyclops, cats, and minotaurs, and bonuses - attack from Water, mana from Stronghold, and boots with a flask. The opponent had: devils, ifrits, pitfiends, dragons, elementals, dryads, and pegasi, also attack, but from Earth and +1 to defense instead of a flask.

I positioned my troops terribly: I always used to put dragons in the center so that my own wouldn't be blown away in the first round, but here, after watching screenshots from the latest tournament games, I decided to put them behind the tent, and even 2 hex-sized dogs in front of the tent - thereby creating a threat to myself of being blown away in the first round; because of this, I had to fly forward with the dragons without waiting - which, given the lack of support from the rest of the troops, meant losing gold to the elementals - minus 1 and minus 6, I had 10 left, then I quickly cast bless and attacked the undefended pegasi with ifrits - 9 left. But then I was "pleasantly" surprised, and at 90%, everything became clear to me:smile34:. First, everyone together attacked my Cyclops, and the pitfiends almost halved my ifrits, then they also attacked the devils together:mad:. They let my stronger units go, leaving about 4 each - however, I quickly made up for it with gold + on the dryads (but I also messed up here, exposing the minotaurs to be blown away by 2 surviving black dragons in retaliation). Cerberuses bit 2 stacks successfully once, but not the ones that could decide the outcome:D - ifrits and pegasi (halved both). There was a moment when I could have bitten them beautifully + the remaining gold, and I already moved my Cyclops out of the way so that the dogs could reach, but Volodymyr figured out this simple maneuver after a long thought and even more beautifully blocked the way with 7 dryads, so I had to be content with just the pegasi. I started attacking his devils too late, and I also spared the archers:rolleyes: and received an "endgame" with exactly 60 of my demons vs 4 dryads, 3 ifrits, 5 devils, 21 pitfiends, where I was carefully blinded three times and attacked without retaliation until they almost halved my forces, and then they came and just overwhelmed me:smile27: :smile34:. In short, a skillful game won against utter noobishness:o.
