You can also play directly, without Hamachi (that utility), but only if the host (the person creating the game) has a public IP address. ;)

Help, does anyone know? I'm playing "Heroes 4: Ring of Dragon," the campaign for Rin the Unrepentant, the second part of the campaign (I need to reach the elven city). To pass through the checkpoint, I need to stop the deforestation and defeat Marcus (the commander of the purple faction). I defeated all the purple troops, including Marcus, but they still won't let me pass through the checkpoint! I captured all the mines – nothing! There are 2 lumberjack huts under the purple flag behind the fence, along with peasants and dwarves, but I simply can't enter or even move the cursor there! What should I do? I've always completed all campaigns, but here I'm just wandering around the map and getting nowhere! Has anyone encountered this problem? Please help, I'd be grateful!

It seems that the portal is only discussing the official versions of the game.

Of course, official game versions are preferable because unofficial versions often contain simply terrible and unplayable maps. A clear example is "Ring of the Dragon," the campaign for Rin the Unbowed.

Thank you for your answer! It seems I'll have to play only the official expansions. Although, the first two campaigns were very interesting to play through. I thought the others would be the same.

Unofficial campaigns can be interesting, but they often have glitches... besides, most (or rather, probably all) of them are simply copied from websites where people who created a particular campaign have posted their work for free.
Therefore, it's better to install Whirlwinds of War (3.0) and then download any maps you want from the internet. There are actually a lot of them.

Thanks, ZYbr, but I've already played through all the official add-ons for Heroes 3 and 4 about 2-3 times. I just recently found an old disc and remembered that I never played "Ring of Dragon" before. I've never used codes, but now I'm so eager that if there was a code to "teleport" 2-3 squares, I would definitely use it. Thanks again. And in general, it's very interesting to read the opinions of experienced players! I'm new to the internet, but I've been playing Heroes since 1997. From the very beginning and until now, I consider this game to be the BEST! It's nice to know that I'm not alone in this opinion! Good luck to everyone!

Is there any information about the behavior of neutral creatures in battle? Specifically, what is their attack priority? Which target do they prefer: a dead hero under Zone of Boost or a group of archers?
