I will only be able to appreciate the fifth installment if two conditions are met:
1. The introduction of a random map generator;
2. If, while playing in "hot-seat" mode on a randomly generated map against five or six AI opponents and one of my friends, we manage to play for at least 20 hours straight.

Why always think about the bad? I always hope for the best... never give up hope... if there's at least an editor and they add a new map size, then you can create a great map with a dungeon and enjoy playing...

Why not... In Heroes 5, on the largest map, how long can you last?
Right now, I'm playing solo, and it takes me a maximum of 10 hours. It could be done in 1.5-2 hours, but I deliberately don't eliminate the last enemy hero until I've eliminated ALL the monsters. And in "hot-seat" mode, it would be even faster.
Have you considered what kind of computer would be needed to handle an XL-sized map from the third game, especially with 8 players? So, the issue might not just be the developers' unwillingness to release maps of that size.
I already have the lowest settings. It's not just about the map slowing down, but also about the computers taking half an hour to process, and that's not just a matter of settings.
