I was disappointed with the fifth installment because of the lack of continuity. From a technical standpoint, it's a very good game. Great graphics, decent balance, and good innovations while preserving the gameplay. But there's a constant feeling that something is missing. You're waiting for something every minute, but it never comes. So, the feeling is mixed. IMHO.

Why do you think that a game with 6 expansions isn't commercially successful? Especially the Chronicles. I'm talking about the third installment, in case anyone didn't understand. As for the campaign and storyline in the third game, it didn't captivate me at all; it was utter nonsense.

Don't say that the campaigns were good; Chronicles of Heroes is still not Heroes 3, it's just a shell, although it does have its own unique charm!

I don't like the fifth installment either!!!! After about three weeks, I stopped playing. Everything is mediocre and simple. Monsters are easy to defeat, the maps are small, and there are only a few artifacts. It's a disgrace to call this a game. In the past, I could spend an entire day on a hot-seat game in the third installment (one real opponent and six computer opponents), but now, no more than four hours (and you can't have more than three computer opponents due to the size of the maps)... And don't tell me that the game doesn't have the largest map size yet!!!! This largest size is only about one and a half times larger than the "very large" size, which is clearly not enough. A disgrace!!!

I haven't played Heroes 5 in a long time either, but I still respect it. And I will play it after new maps appear, and after the expansion is released!

***JOKER*** tell Andrey about patch 1.3, that it might include a map editor, and maybe he will start to appreciate Heroes 5!!;)

JOKEr, understand that everyone has their own tastes and interests, and you can't change them with any patches, add-ons, etc...:rolleyes: :)

There's no need to change tastes. Some people think that Heroes 5 is the best game of all time. And some say it's complete garbage. Chronicles of Heroes is an attempt to make a good impression despite a bad game; it's not Heroes 3, but simply campaigns on the Heroes 3 engine. The original Heroes 3 is more interesting and better thought out than Heroes 5. IMHO.
