Yes, it looks pretty good in the VCMI project... but still, HotA is primarily an add-on in the classic style, preserving the traditions of the original Heroes III – and initiative, frankly, fits into this concept with a very, very big question mark.

At what stage of completion will it be released, and how much more work do you plan to do later?

Vissy, this is insane. I don't know how the Professor manages, but I would get tired of explaining the same thing ten times :D The release date of the beta is written in the first post. (yes, it's a long wait) And how and where to install it is on the previous page. I'll even quote it here:

Will the original Heroes (SoD) be required to install the add-on?

The first beta versions of the add-on will only be installable on them, so - yes. Later, there will be a choice of which installation to download; there will be three types in total: 1. Installation of the full version together with the original Heroes and the add-on itself. 2. Installation of only the add-on on top of Heroes III SoD. 3. Installation of only the add-on on top of Heroes III WoG 3.58f. Most likely, the first option will be the most popular; almost everyone already has a good internet connection, and downloading 400-500 MB won't be a problem.
