So, they both died quickly! Maggot, RA – it's a parody of the theme "Russia is conquering the world, and the USA will prevent it." It's worth playing just for the satire! :-)
"Мы не герои. Мы сильны. Мы упрямы. Мы стараемся соблюдать условия контракта. Но мы не умираем за проигравших." Костоправ
"Мы не поклонники честной игры, если ее можно избежать. Девиз Отряда – максимальная эффективность при минимальном риске." Костоправ
What a heated discussion here! :) Down with the flame war!
I understand what Meg wants to say... Personally, I don't appreciate those American cartoons like "Woody Woodpecker" anymore; I even turn off the TV if my brother is watching them =/
Americans, to some extent, have a stereotypical view of Russians, but I don't think they are that idiotic – they are just people, individuals, and personalities, just like us... but with slightly different moral values and priorities.
You know, I was thinking: if they mixed up babies in the maternity ward – gave a Russian baby to an American family and an American baby to a Russian family – I have no doubt that the American would grow up to be a real "Russian," and the Russian would absorb American "culture"...
Now is a new era; we shouldn't stick to the stereotypes of the Cold War; we should strive for mutual respect and understanding... and continue on our path, if not together, then at least without neuroses ;)
You know what I was thinking? If they mixed up babies at the maternity hospital – a Russian child was given to an American family, and an American child was given to a Russian family – I have no doubt that the American would grow up to be a real "Russian," and the Russian would absorb American "culture"...
By the way, my mother's former classmate lives in America. And she says that her daughter (and other American children) seem less developed compared to our children.
