The first stage of the annual John Van Caneghem Memorial Tournament
"Island of Doom"

P.S. This tournament is part of the general John Van Caneghem Memorial Tournament. This tournament has ten stages, two stages for each version of Heroes.

TOURNAMENT RULES

1. To participate in the tenth offline Heroes 1 tournament "Island of Doom", you must register on our website www.heroesworld.ru and submit an application in this thread.

2. The tournament will be held on the Russian version of Heroes 1 from Buky. The save file will be generated on the Russian version 1.1.

3. The goal of the game is to win the map in the shortest possible time (number of days).
The winner of this tournament receives a prize in the form of a medal (in the profile and under the avatar).
This tournament is ranked, so you need to earn your rating now, as at the end of the year the best player on our site according to the ranking will receive a separate prize in the form of a cup for the absolute winner, as well as an honorary certificate sent by mail. The rating will be calculated for 2009.

4. The result will be evaluated primarily based on the smallest number of days. In case of a tie in days, the qualifying criterion is the sum of primary skills (attack, defense, magic, knowledge) INCLUDING WORN ARTIFACTS; if there is still no clear favorite, then it will be determined by the amount of mercury.

6. Send the save file to the email address kylegoogl@gmail.com

The submitted save file must contain the tournament number (10), the participant's number in the application table, the abbreviation of the tournament stage (ID - Island of Doom), and the player's nickname.

Example:

7. The result of a player who played with violations of the rules will be annulled, and the player will be punished.
The result of a player who used cheats during the game will be annulled, and the player will receive a lifetime ban!

8. Discussion of the tournament on the Internet during its conduct is PROHIBITED!!!
(Players who violate this rule automatically lose the opportunity to play in the tournament; their results will not be counted and will be canceled).

9. The tournament starts on January 20, 2009, and lasts until February 16, 2009 (inclusive!), Moscow time. The final results of the tournament will be announced on February 24, 2009.

10. After receiving your save file, you will see in the application table that:

save accepted - indicated by a bold nickname.
save approved - indicated by a blue bold nickname.
save rejected - indicated by a red bold nickname.

Sequence of actions:

1. Download the save file.

2. Place the downloaded save file in the GAMES folder of your installed Heroes 1 game.

3. Load it and start playing at any time that is convenient for you, while remembering to make daily saves.

4. After reaching the last action (after which victory occurs), save again.

5. A detailed description of the tournament map is encouraged (not required). If there are any, the best ones will be published in the thread: "Feats of our best heroes!"

6. Send this save file to the specified address (in the rules of this tournament).

7. Wait for the results to be announced.

Yes, yes, yes. Take an example from your clanmates, who will soon be defeating veterans, as they consistently show VERY good results! Moreover, the map for the 9th tournament was not easy to complete, in principle!

I suggest that each participant indicates the clan they represent. And the host can note this in the preliminary table. Just for aesthetic purposes.

to Monza: Unfortunately, not at this tournament. This tournament has a very clear and defined concept.
After it ends, if the players still have the energy, we can hold a test tournament based on your system.
