Heroes is a game primarily for you, the fans/devotees/enthusiasts of this wonderful game, and not just "for Windows." Yes, by default, the system requirement is having Windows to run the game, but firstly, there are ways to run it on other operating systems, and secondly, as far as I know, Heroes 3 is also available for Linux. And thirdly, the people communicating on this forum don't all have the main problem of not having Windows games available on *nix.

If I feel like it, I might try this Linux in the summer when I have plenty of free time, although Windows currently suits me perfectly (which is what I chose in the poll). But... I have doubts about whether modern games will run on it. Or will they actually run?:) And I'll have to look for new software. Or are there software collections available online?:)

Everything is available. Using Linux doesn't cause any problems at all if you have internet access. Moreover, unlike Windows applications, you don't have to search for software extensively - it's available in numerous repositories (I can give an example of such a mirror on Yandex) all over the world, completely free, and not pirated. You just need to know the name of the program you need, type a couple of commands, and it will be downloaded and installed from there. In addition, there is the possibility of compiling software from source code, optimizing it directly for your machine!

As for the time - yes, you need to read a lot at first, but then it's just a breeze compared to Windows. Moreover, there are many distributions that don't require in-depth study - they are installed without problems, and there are very, very rare problems with drivers (only in the case of extremely new hardware for which no one has written a driver yet).
And the environment for running Windows games on Linux can be integrated very tightly, so that they will run on it without problems.
Well, in general, I didn't necessarily mean that someone uses Linux as an entertainment station; I assumed that there should be IT professionals on the forum who use it for work, for example.

I would venture to suggest that the problem lies with these Linux users, because I doubt that Linux users wouldn't be able to handle something if they really were Linux users.

As for Canon printers, as far as I know, the manufacturer really wasn't developing drivers for them until about a year ago, but now everything is fine.
But I don't think that even then, nothing could be done about it - there are almost always people who have already encountered the problem before you, and almost always they have found a way to fix the problem (in this case, write a driver), and make the solution available to the entire Linux community.

Linux, the system:) Oh yeah... but I'm quite happy with Windows; it's more convenient, and I'm used to it, as they say, since I was a baby. Linux is very good software; as far as I know, you can customize every little detail in a computer, and do something with the "kernels." And the most important thing I know is that Windows was created based on Linux, and that it was created on Linux itself.

And most importantly, I know that it was made for Windows in a similar way to Linux.

And what's that supposed to mean? oO
