Introduction:ZYbr and CTPAHHuK announce the start of a duel tournament
"Snow Storm"
Through ice and cold,
Through the blizzard's rampage
Heroes hasten
To the start of the "Snow Storm"!
1)The tournament is official. It is held on HoMM IV version: Equilibris 3.51(Download here). You can connect via Hamachi (Download here) in one subnet:
Name:
HOMM4 Arena
Password:
Arena
2)The tournament consists of 2 stages: "Summit" and "Journey through Axeoth".
The 1st stage includes exclusively single games; in the second stage, if there are enough participants, pair games will also be held. Arena archives and their descriptions can be downloaded via the link at the bottom of the post.
Registration for the tournament is considered open with the launch of this topic and will last until 15 January.
Anyone wishing to join may sign up for the tournament; the main condition is to be registered on HeroesWorld.
To participate in the tournament, you must leave an application in this topic. The application must include: your Nickname and ICQ number.
Games will begin on 16 January.
Tournament Rules:
1)Depending on the number of participants, the organizers will choose the tournament system. This could be either elimination games or all participants in a General group.
2)The host is responsible for organizing each specific game and bears responsibility for it. If a game remains unplayed after a week, a technical defeat is awarded to the host. If the opponent shows no interest in the game, tries to avoid it, fails to appear at the appointed time, etc., the host must notify the organizers, who will then investigate the circumstances.
3)Participants are given a maximum of one week for any game in the tour. After the game is played, the host must provide a report on its progress:
(Report sample for the first stage) "Player1 (Race) def. Player2 (Race)"
(Report sample for the second stage) "Player1 (Hero) def. Player2(Hero)"
The second participant must confirm the result, after which it will be accepted by the tournament organizers.
Note: In pair games during the second stage, heroes are also specified.
4)Games in a general group (if this system is adopted) are conducted on a calendar basis. 1 point will be awarded for a win, and 0 for a loss.
5)It is forbidden to edit arenas in any way. A player will be disqualified from the tournament if such a violation is established.
6)The use of cheats is also forbidden.
1st Stage.
Each of the two duelists crosses out 1 Castle from the 6 possible (the host crosses first). From the remaining 4 Castles, the host chooses a Castle first, followed by the second player. Participants play three arenas with the chosen Castles in this order:
1. mini version on Master difficulty;
2. standard version on Apprentice difficulty;
3. large version on Apprentice difficulty
Duels in the tour are played until two wins.
Having gathered all proposed armies, the player must proceed to the arena on the very first day.
2nd Stage.
Single.
Each of the two duelists crosses out 8 duel heroes for their opponent (not consecutively, but in one wave). Then the second player chooses a hero first (from the remaining 10), followed by the host (the same hero cannot be chosen in one tour). The second pair of heroes is chosen in reverse order — first the host and then the second player.
Duels in the tour are played until two wins.
Exchange of armies or artifacts between heroes is forbidden.
Pair.
This occurs through alternating crossing out of races (the non-host crosses first). Thus, in the end, one race remains for each pair. In this case, one hero from a race "drops out" and the opponent's choice cannot be predicted exactly. Victory in a specific game occurs when all enemy forces are crushed, i.e., when both participants of the pair have won. If the score in a specific game is "1-1", the surviving players fight each other until victory, after which the pair is awarded a win for the round.
Victory in the tour is awarded for two won rounds.
Exchange of armies or artifacts between heroes is forbidden.
It is also forbidden to send scouts to identify the "dropped" hero.
Having gathered all proposed armies, the player must proceed to the arena on the very first day.
We wish everyone luck and enjoyment from the game!

1 Stage "Summit"
So. The game scheme for the first stage will be as follows:
Participants are divided into two groups of 4 people each. From each group, players who took first place advance and play the final of the stage.
I think the scheme will remain the same for the first and second stages. Only in the second stage, in the pair category (if everyone can be split into pairs :)), there will be one general group.
Draw Results.

Final.
Dr Motor vs snaiper133 2 - 1
Winner of the first stage:
Dr Motor
2 Stage
"Journey through Axeoth"
"Journey through Axeoth"
Unfortunately, because not everyone will likely be able to participate in the 2nd stage for a number of reasons, there is no point in making it group-based... Thus, the 2nd stage will have one general group from which the winner will emerge based on the results. Consequently, each participant will need to play against all other players.
After the draw, the following table was produced:

Барон "Vampires"
Отдай свои прошлые сны,
В сомненьях себя обрети,
В бешеном танце душа кружится!
Не думай, что будет потом,
Здесь и сейчас мы живем,
Стань хоть на миг сам собой, слышишь!
