You'll choose your first option:) – and right now, the standard skin is selected... for those who came as guests or registered users who don't want to click three times with the mouse to set a different skin as the "default."
I don't think there's anything to argue about here – everyone will choose the skin that "doesn't bother their eyes," and in my opinion, the standard one should be the most light, unobtrusive, and not "too specific." the highlighted part can be debated
The 1st skin is aimed at the Light Elves from Heroes 5, although overall it's not very dark and not that light.
The 2nd skin is Haven from Heroes 5... it's more "Heroes 5-like" and more muted than the 1st or 4th skin.
The 4th skin is quite simple (in a good way... it's unobtrusive and doesn't irritate), although it's clear that it's clearly aimed at "Heroes 5" and is also the darkest and, accordingly, "harsh on the eyes":D
The 3rd skin is probably the most optimal... it has some drawbacks, such as a slight bias towards Mages (Heroes 5) and it's noticeably weak in details and embellishments, but it has a very big advantage – it's very light and practically unobtrusive....
P.S. Before writing the post, I thought about it and voted clearly for the 3rd skin, but while I was writing and looking at it, I came to the conclusion that if the 3rd skin is not slightly embellished with details and the "Mage" landscape at the top is not removed, then it won't become a clear leader for the "standard" skin.
In general, I like the contrasts... for example, a skin where half of the screen shows one faction, and the other half shows its classic enemy (antithesis).

Exactly! A person visiting the site won't bother reading dark letters on a dark background; the information should be easily accessible without straining the eyes. I vote for option 3.

I’m for the 4th option. It looks quite unusual and beautiful, with creatures from different races standing together as if to say, "On HeroesWorld everyone is friendly, even we don’t fight," and the skin is aimed at all races, not just Heaven or only Elves.

Option 3 is exactly what's needed as the default. There's only one suggestion for improving option 3: in the upper right corner, there should be a more eye-catching and memorable "iconic" logo and/or slogan. I would even make this logo slightly provocative, pushing the boundaries a bit (for example, something that evokes attraction, fear, rage, or excitement – like a bloodshot dragon's eye, a recognizable Catherine in lingerie on some kind of monster, or something in the style of Farmer, etc.) – given the theme of the site, this wouldn't look vulgar. IMHO.
P.S. Yes, and one of the MOST important criteria is that it should load quickly.

From a compositional point of view, option #3 (and also #2) is the most successful. After all, when a visitor first enters the site, their gaze should IMMEDIATELY be drawn to the **HW** inscription, and not to a huge genie or oak tree. This is how the default page should look. In #3, the emblem immediately catches the eye. But I voted for the "minority" - for option 2.
I didn't like the fact that all of them only feature "Heroes of Might and Magic V" themes. After all, heroes are not just from the fifth installment.
But overall, all the skins are very good and excellently made.

I am simply amazed by your preference for white and the fact that it was used here... here is a quote about the psychological effect of color:

I liked options 2 and 4. But in the fourth one, it would be good to make the background a little lighter. And the third one is too white; I agree with Tamara. Please announce in the first post when the voting will be finished. Maybe there will be new options (besides these four) or these will be improved...? Then I'll vote (before the voting period ends).

In principle, Tamara is right. I already wrote in the chat that #3 is somewhat blurry. #4 is rather gloomy, but symbolic – it essentially represents each race and the planet, symbolizing the world. However, space is a symbol of the unknown and doom, and this should be taken into account. #2, in my opinion, is the most optimal. The bluish, non-irritating background makes the inscription stand out, and the well-drawn griffin is pleasing to the eye and also has a positive psychological effect on the visitor. #1 is a good option, but the grand tree with the elven structures will distract the visitor's attention. So, after considering all the options, #2 seemed to me to be the most suitable for the default skin.

Options #3 and #4 are the best, but I still prefer #3).

It is important to consider that black text on a gray background is difficult to read. THIS needs to be taken into account. I liked option 4 more because of the color scheme, BUT the tone needs to be adjusted slightly. It will be difficult to read.

However, I still voted for option 3.

I actually prefer the older one... but out of these four, the second one is the best. The fourth one is terrible! (in my opinion).

Yes, you'll also say that when you were drawing and drafting on white paper in school, you experienced self-hypnosis, or when you were sunbathing in Crimea or Turkey in the summer. :D

Dear Creator, could you make a 5th option, combining the features of option #3 and the friendly relations between all factions, as shown in #4? Because our players still prefer to play for all factions or for some specific ones. Otherwise, all preference is given to one option, except for number 4.
