I apologize for deviating from the topic, but I want to say something about "Dungeons and Devils."
I also couldn't beat Steadwick in the last mission, but I did something quite simple: I bought a bunch of heroes (there was a tavern nearby), sent them near the castle (some a little closer, others a little further away), and when the computer's turn came, it simply went to eliminate them, and then I just entered the castle with another hero.

Question: The best artifact in the game is probably the "Helm of Heavenly Enlightenment" (+6 to all skills), but I'm not sure. What artifact do you think is the best? For example, sometimes I enjoy "Boots of Swiftness" or "Wings of the Angel" more at the beginning of the game.
A combined artifact, "Alliance of Angels," is probably the best. Although, for Necromancers, "Shroud of the Dead King" is better.

I don't understand how anyone can doubt that Angel Wings are the best!

Of course, "Thunderclap" takes first place, allowing you to use the Thunderclap spell without spending mana.

Third place: "Might of the Dragon Lord" - significantly increases the hero's skills and the strength of dragons.

On large maps, playing as a Mage, you can upgrade "Lightning Bolt" to the point where it deals as much damage as "Titan's Thunder." And 600 damage seems a bit low.

Of course, "Thunder Titan" deserves the first honorable mention.

I agree - the Alliance will deal approximately that much damage to him - but on large maps, one artifact reigns supreme - the Cloak of the Necromancer King. You can test it in practice if anyone has doubts.

What are you talking about?! Thunderclap is nothing compared to the all-powerful Centaur Axe with +2 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) to attack! Get it, and victory is almost guaranteed!

Of course, the King's Cloak is the best, but it's banned in online play.

That's not the point — you still need to assemble it first! Good luck getting exactly the artifacts you need, while the battle axe is right there for the taking!
