I just checked – it doesn't work. Although someone in the forum thread mentioned that this method can be used to teach spells. So, they must have gotten something wrong. My Necromancer couldn't learn either Blind Unicorns or Berserk of the Valkyries, so I'll have to look for other places to acquire spells.

Recently, I've enjoyed playing as Kifros, but not because of the 250 gold per day or the strong minotaurs, but because of the real possibility of gaining sympathy. Reasonably proactive troops with a 50% chance of triggering morale actually advance the hero quite well on the ATV scale.

I don't see any advantages to using Kifre. The starting pace is too slow; Sinithar or Waisan are better choices due to their armies.

I just got hit by a wave of nostalgia, the start is awesome! I was just playing and got completely hooked; they gave me the Chaos magic spell at level 21!

Vaishan, Letos, and Synia are my favorite heroes. Vaishan's archers are very effective against neutral creatures, and Synia's spells are cheaper. This is very useful when a hero has low knowledge.

Why not?:) Synitar and Letos have good abilities, and their biographies are also interesting. As a rule, they develop quickly and become real generals, at least in my army.:D

Yeah, we don't care about biographies...=) And personally, my favorite is Waishan; you can develop him into a good Chaos unit or use him for summoning, and the starting point with a bunch of scouts that upgrade into a bunch of invisible hunters in the first or second turn...it's a must-have, really.

And what about Kifrah and Irbet? They are also very good! Kifrah can be developed into a good combat mage with a focus on the army, while Irbet is more focused on magic.

I prefer Sinithar if you need chaos. Education is still useless up to level 6; you need to get magic first. Kifrah... hmm... I don't know, I didn't like it; the minuses don't help much, only as cannon fodder along with the hydras. It's better to create a battle mage from the Sylvan faction.

Synitar is good when there are many tough neutral creatures or the enemy army is larger. He focuses on magic, and if you level up a lucky wizard and have expert luck... in a word: OP. Vaishan is good, Sorghall is decent, and Irbet isn't very good. This is because I've never used him)). Kifrah is good at the start, and extra money never hurts anyone. She also comes with Treasury Management. Minos of the Mine Guardians are good at scouting (if the guardians aren't ranged units).

250 gold won't make much of a difference. Unless it allows you to acquire Speed Aura faster... but then you'll have to give it up. You're wrong about Sinistar; he's a good hero, but definitely not overpowered.
