I am ready to run any of the tournament stages for Heroes 1, 2, or 3 if needed (i.e., replace a moderator if they are unable to run a stage in a particular version of the game for any reason).
Regarding Heroes 1, I recommend running stage 6 with Kanigem as the hero, as part of one of the "Company" tournaments.
P.S. Perhaps we need to separately consider a new system for awarding prizes to the winners of this type of tournament.
Sincerely, VDV_forever
I apologize, but I've encountered some issues and won't be able to run stages 5 and 10. We need to find a replacement. I apologize again. Sincerely, Lord of Vampires

_Prizrak_ recently successfully organized an offline tournament for the 5th stage and showed excellent competence, the ability to use the editor (and not just look at it), and to assess the playability and variety of maps.
In general, I personally think he is the better candidate for the VK. There are other people, but apparently they don't want to, or they do want to, but I wouldn't trust such an important event to them.
In any case, the final decision is probably up to the VK organizers' council; my post is not an imposition of opinion, but only recommendations from a potential player of the 5th and 10th stages.

I received a proposal from vbn to organize the eighth stage of the King's Bounty tournament!
If there are no objections, I will act as the organizer!
Colleagues, a question regarding the schedule for the 7th stage of the Van Canningham Memorial Tournament. Specifically, when is the planned completion of the 6th stage, and when is the planned start of the 8th stage?
The sixth stage will end on August 7th, and the eighth stage will begin approximately between September 5th and 10th.
Hello everyone!
I received an offer from vbn to organize the eighth stage of the King's Bounty Tournament!
If there are no objections, I will act as the organizer!
Of course, be the organizer :smile54: especially in light of the last tournament in the 3v3 format.
As I recall, for the Van Kanigem tournament, we decided to play only on completely official localizations – the Platinum edition from Buka. A specific set of rules was developed and defined (tournaments are held based on the speed of defeating computer opponents, with the secondary criteria being 1. The sum of the hero's parameters; 2. The amount of mercury).
Currently, some processes are happening that I don't quite understand. I'm not entirely sure who to contact for clarification, as I am also a member of the tournament's organizing committee.

I'm all for having an interesting map and for the walkthrough not being solvable with a straightforward approach (so you have to think things through). We need good map designers.
And secondly, in any specific tournament, the organizer has the final say on which heroes or spells they want to ban – those will be the rules for that tournament (plus the basic official rules!).
And in general, wouldn't you like to conduct a poll among players to see which rules should be removed, added, or adjusted????
I just wanted to mention that thanks to the recently held tournament for the fifth game, a well-known map designer, OGO-I, recently registered on our portal. He always creates interesting maps, and the walkthroughs aren't solvable with a straightforward approach; you have to think everything through and weigh it all first (and he also creates a lot of scripts).
We need interesting maps for the tournament, so that there are non-trivial solutions (walkthroughs) for them, and more neutral creatures!!!
As for the discussion of the rules... for example, the Fire Trap (not on this portal, but on another) is sometimes - BANNED.
Since we're already discussing the rules, could you explain the sacred meaning of organizing a preliminary registration for participants in an offline tournament? Everywhere, the final save file serves as the registration.
If almost everyone who registered actually played, that would be one thing. But that's not the case...
It's very simple:
1) To allow participants to see that their save file has been successfully submitted and that it has been accepted or rejected, so they don't have to contact the organizers unnecessarily and worry about it. ;)
2) Agree that if there is only 1 player in the participant table, there is simply no point in participating, because without a quorum, it's no longer a game.
3) Usually, well-known players who have registered for the tournament send in their save files and add significant intrigue to the game, attracting new and old participants to the tournament just by their presence.
Example (Fireball, vbn, Qwerty, Dmitriy_AS, etc.).
4) With the introduction of such a table, there is at least some order in the naming of the save file sent by the players. Otherwise, they might send a file named =34gfd.gm1, and you'd have to guess who it's from.
5) Convenience for summarizing the results for the tournament organizers.
Sincerely, VDV_forever
Therefore, dear Heroes enthusiasts, you can start VK-9, and don't wait for us... but a VK tournament for the third game will definitely happen!!!!
