First of all, The Shadow of Death actually does have the Conflux—it's just that you are forbidden from selecting it or playing with it (this can be fixed :smile08: ).
Regarding the popularity of the 3 versions of Heroes:
1) SoD - The Shadow of Death with patch 3.2
2) 4.0 complete - Platinum Edition
3) TE 1.03q - Tournament Edition

Each is more or less common in the RF, and they have certain differences.
You can also play WoG (for those who like it)—the latest version is 3.58ф; 59 should be released, which will allow the installation of new towns, but for now, it's only in the development stage.
There are people playing Blade or The Restoration of Erathia—but they are few and far between.

In my opinion, the best version of Heroes is... The Shadow of Death... on random maps. The newest heroes... are completely different heroes... Like, the balance... But what balance? Take chess... That's where the balance is... He-he... If you want to test your luck, play The Shadow of Death on random maps (and collect random artifacts))).

I don't care which version is the latest; the main thing is that the game is awesome. If even the latest version doesn't appeal to you, will you still play it? It's up to you to decide. :smile49:

None. Platinum simply includes all Campaigns and maps, as well as the patch (in SoD it is 3.2).

Platinum differs from SoD in the following ways:
1) (only in 3.2) there are bugs (you can find them in the rules of offline tournaments)
2) in battle, you can see the amount of mana the opponent has.
3) the chat is in Russian.
These are probably the main differences I would highlight.

The second point, I wouldn't call it a difference between Platinum and Shades of Darkness; it seems the localizers made a mistake. In my English version of Shades of Darkness, the mana issue is fine.

The third point, in my opinion, doesn't fall under mechanics, although the Russian chat is a convenient feature.

As for the first point... Can you be more specific? What offline bugs are present in Shades of Darkness that have been fixed in Platinum? Or vice versa, bugs that appeared in Platinum. ;)

Well, I'm no expert, but there is one that I know for sure can be used:
if you enter a town and right-click on the town image (on the right), you will see the opponent's town (if you have 2 towns and they have 1, then when attempting to "view" the second town, the heroes crash)
I have SoD from 3 different discs. Mana isn't visible on any of them.
As for the chat — it would be worth playing on Platinum just for that....
