yeah, so... yesterday I went to a friend's birthday party, and we played paintball.
Hehe) It was awesome! Beer, barbecue, and running around in trenches and in the forest ^____^
It was a little uncomfortable, though. It was hot, so we had to run around in camouflage uniforms with just our bare bodies underneath. We had gloves on our hands, a hood and mask on our heads, and a bolter in our hands. Before the battle, it was funny - about twenty "stalkers" spread out across the area :D The hood muffled the sounds, and the mask sometimes fogged up, which also limited the field of view. But the muffled sounds helped when sneaking up on the enemy :) And if it weren't for the mask, at least three of us would have been lying around with our skulls cracked open.
In total, there were four areas:
- trenches in a field with a bridge and towers;
- an assault on a fortress with piles of tires, wrecked cars, and other junk that served as cover;
- "meat grinder" in a small forest with minimal cover;
- and again in the forest, but with cover, barrels, and a bunker in the center of the location. There was also a trench right next to the bunker, covered with a camouflage net, like the GLA anti-aircraft guns in Generals :)
Hmm. It all vaguely reminded me of CS, where whoever shot first, won. You had to take a lot of risks and run around crouching. Mostly, we moved in pairs. One runs across - the other covers him, providing suppressing fire so the sneaky enemy doesn't pop out.
Oh, there were so many moments...
For example, in the field, two of our guys, the "blues," were on a tower, and one "green" decided to take them on head-on. Somehow, he managed to sneak under the tower. He runs out, aims his gun point-blank, pulls the trigger, and... the gun jammed xDDDD
He didn't have time to reload, poor guy. He got four bullets right in the face) The mask even slipped off, and he fell face down.
Hmm. Later, in the same game, one guy killed my teammate in the tower on the right... and started shooting at me. Luckily, I ducked in time. The Emperor must have helped. And then... seeing that he couldn't finish me off so easily, he did a Max Payne-style jump) But I shot him in mid-air with a whole burst :\ I took him down, so to speak)) And with one shot, I hit him in... hmm... a sensitive spot xDD
...and in the "meat grinder" we only played a couple of times, and only one of those was a real duel. In general, we counted down, and it started... the greens stood up straight, in a line, and started literally mowing down our cover with shots :O
We crouched down, covered our heads, it was scary. I got hit by ricochets a few times, on my leg, in my back, in my arm... but I survived - the paint didn't stain my uniform) So I lived. Then we got up and opened fire. It was a real bloodbath) I don't remember if we won, or if anyone won at all, but we all realized that you should only play "meat grinder" if you're looking for a particularly painful death.
I also remember the fortress assault. We had more people in that game, so we were the ones assaulting the fortress. We lost, which is a shame. But it's not surprising, it takes at least three people to make a fortification extremely difficult to take. At one point, I ran out of ammo(( So I had to act as a distraction.
...in general, it was an awesome trip) The only downside was that the beer ran out quickly, and the cafe nearby was selling some really awful Klinское beer.
P.S. I even got shot in the gun once) Just a little bit more, and it would have hit my hand...
P.P.S. And there was a shower there too) After a couple of battles, it was so great to rinse off in the cool water on a hot summer day :)

And on Sunday, I went for a ride on a boat; a friend invited me x)... We stopped at some deserted beach (maybe it was deserted because it was cloudy... I don't know).... We ate there, joked around, then ate again, etc. xD, in short, we had a good time, although sometimes something was missing.....
When we started sailing home, it started to rain... a strong rain with wind)). In principle, it had already rained a few times before... x)... So, when the rain started, I was standing in an open space (not counting the roof and the fence)... water all around, and it was raining and windy... you could almost call it a storm, and the rain was hitting me because I was standing at the edge x))). In general, I was standing there and looking into the distance (although you couldn't see much), but it was still beautiful... x)
When we arrived at the base, I thought the fun was over, but no! They gave us a jet ski, and we went for a ride on it x)... Ah, it was probably even better than the "storm"... We sat down with a friend, he was in front (because he knows how to steer... although it's not difficult, but it was my first time, and I didn't know anything), and I was behind, and we went x)... It was comfortable to sit because the jet ski was for three people, and there were only two of us, so it was cool). We rode for a while, it was a bit chilly, because it was 7-8 pm, it had been raining almost all day, and I was only wearing jeans and a vest... You're riding, the wind is blowing, there's water all around, the engine is humming... it's awesome!! We also sometimes ran into our own waves and jumped on them, especially at high speed... Ah, it was cool, damn x) I want to do it again!

Damn... I envy you)). I've always wanted to play a big paintball game with a company, with barbecue and beer)).

Damn, I haven't been here for about 3 months, but everything is still the same. The design has changed a bit, there are some new topics, but all the regulars are still here. I'm really glad to see you all. I'm actually leaving again in 4 days, but I'll be back regularly after that. There's just no other portal on the internet that feels as comfortable as this one. (Reading the posts, I felt right at home, it's a very familiar style).
And I'm very happy right now because I finally fulfilled a long-held dream. After taking my exams and clearing up all my outstanding issues, I grabbed a tent and went on a solo trip to the Dürso region (it turned out to be the best option). I spent almost 3 weeks alone in the forest, barely interacting with anyone. (Of course, I had to go into town twice with a backpack to get food, but I also spent time with Remarque by reading two of his books that I brought with me). Communication is good, but when there are people everywhere, 24 hours a day, and the only chance to think quietly is usually at night (that's why I read at night and sleep for 4-5 hours), you start to understand those who live alone in the forests and wilderness (it's no wonder that this is becoming increasingly popular). Strange people think that you can only get pleasure from communication and "hanging out," and some even tried to dissuade me from the trip, but in reality, I got more pleasure from communicating with myself and especially with my "Remarque-esque hero" (even though he's not very similar to me) than I have in the whole year.

By the way, about paintball, if we can get a good number of people together, we can go to a страйкбол game. If anyone doesn't know, these games are organized by GDC (if anyone doesn't know, they created and published S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a game, a computer game xD). It's very cheap, and the weapon models are real (!), but they obviously shoot with markers. The main difference from paintball is that it's really tough (in terms of physical exertion), because imagine 1000 people being thrown into a "zone," and the task is simply to survive. And most importantly, the atmosphere of the game suddenly becomes very real, with stories around the campfire, shootouts with gangs, and raids for artifacts (food).
