How can I play Heroes of Might and Magic 3 online? Maybe someone knows about some servers or something like that. And which version of the game is needed for this purpose?
The problem is that when you uninstall Hamachi, the ini files containing the configuration are not deleted.
As a rule, these files are located in the folder C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Hamachi.
So, after uninstalling Hamachi, delete the specified folder, restart your computer if the system requires it, and reinstall Hamachi.
After that, you will have a new IP address, and you can specify a new (or keep the old) account name.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth...
Come on, write down what the connection is, what version of Windows you have, and describe the system in general. The most important thing is the internet connection speed. If it's low, just try playing on a small map.
And if I had to summarize it briefly, the biggest problem when playing Armageddon's Blade is finding an opponent. Write here; maybe someone will respond. Visit this page – you might find someone there
Who wants to play Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Restoration of Erathia or Armageddon's Blade? Write to me on ICQ: 353899206 :smile13: :smile13: :smile13: :smile14: :smile14: :smile14: Network: al-kyras, password: 1111
Can you help me figure out why the game won't work...?
Here's the situation: both my friend and I have local internet connections. She's in Moscow, and I'm in St. Petersburg. We both have Windows XP. We installed Hamachi 0.9.9.9 and created a network. We have ping. Firewalls and antivirus programs are disabled.
The game is WOG358F (we have the same versions). We try to connect via TCP/IP, and either she or I create a server (host). The created game is always visible to the other person, and the "Play" button is available (meaning the IP addresses assigned by Hamachi are also visible), but when connecting to that game, the message appears: "An error occurred during the session connection, please try again..." And it keeps happening.
We also tried Armageddon's Blade, version 2.1.0.0.
The same thing happens.
What could be causing this? Other games, like a network-based naval battle game, work fine. But we installed Hamachi specifically for Heroes, and it's not working.
Thank you in advance.
ewgeniy, thank you! This week, we tried Heroes of Might and Magic V, and we were able to connect, but the game ran very slowly. So, when we have a free moment, we'll try Heroes of Might and Magic III again. And, probably then, we'll contact you via ICQ) if the offer is still valid.
Hello. I've never played Heroes online, only in hotseat mode. I'd like to get some advice. Which version of Heroes III is best for online play? And how can I determine which version I have? I have the following: parts 1, 2, and 3. I also have all the expansions for part 3: The Restoration of Erathia + Armageddon's Blade, The Shadow of Death, and Chronicles 4-in-1... but there's no information about the versions anywhere. What's the easiest way to set it up? Through Hamachi or through TCP/IP multiplayer mode? And approximately how much data will one game consume?
so, regarding the versions: RoE 1.0 and 1.1 AB 2.0 and 2.1 SoD 3.0, 3.1, and 3.2
Dix Bukovsky: parts 1, 2, and 3
this is most likely the Platinum Edition (disc 1 contains HMM1 & HMM2, discs 2 and 3 contain HMM3) currently, people are playing SoD 3.2 and 4.0 (this is the Platinum Edition) regarding the connection - the game uses TCP/IP (you can also use IPX, but Hamachi doesn't seem to support this protocol). To connect, you need Hamachi (a virtual network that assigns an IP address), or you can use an external IP address if you have one. regarding the traffic, I can't say for sure, but 15 MB is the maximum (the initial map + movement on the map, I think even 5-10 MB is enough).
I checked the properties of SoD – the version is 3.0.0.0. So, do I need to find version 3.2 or 4.0 somewhere? My version won't connect to them, right? And how do I determine whether an external IP address is present or not?
Well, if it's SoD 3.0, you need to patch it. I have the patches in my signature under "useful links." Well, that depends on your provider. As far as I understand, it's a paid service. Regarding 4.0, you wrote that you have
Dix Bukowski: parts 1, 2 and 3 of the game.
If you see "complete" or "full collection" when entering the menu, then it's 4.0 If you want to try the connect — hit me up now on ICQ 375572427, but I won't be here long:)
Well, people have installed and figured out this Hamachi program – let's create our own network.
Check out this thread: /topic/4362/. You’ll find potential opponents and their ASIs there… Good luck!
