Is this a version of 3.1 being tested by the developers (judging by the nicknames), or is someone from the fan base just messing around???

Doubtful, they're just messing around. And it's quite strange, considering there were reports that funding for Heroes 5 had stopped. But here's a French map name, strange nicknames... :) It seems hope hasn't been lost yet. I hope...))

I didn't watch for too long, but I didn't see the number of players increase beyond "1" - so no one joined while I was there... I was confused by two almost identical nicknames (like "bots")... one of them became the server for the new game...

Hmm. Regarding nicknames. There are a lot of nicknames like that. For example, I played as User 1234, and he definitely wasn't a bot. And there will definitely be no patch.

P.S. Don't write here about "oh, how are you doing, he will definitely be released," only posts in the style of Alex.

No, Valhalla, let's not rush things just yet. We'll close the thread as soon as Nival announces that there will be no more patches. Or when a hypothetical 6th installment is announced (because, for now, it's still uncertain what Nival is working on). Either way, if it happens, it won't be soon. As I said before, Alex's screenshot is encouraging. I doubt anyone would bother creating fake servers for version 3.1. But more than six months for patch development is unthinkable, considering that approximately the same amount of time was spent on developing Hammers of Fate.

Zehir2008, there are things to fix – the same bugs in the campaigns as in 1.6. The MoveHero command doesn't work correctly. And new units, factions, and spells are usually not added in patches.

It is quite possible that this is version 3.1, announced at the end of last year. No one will prevent the testers from playing it. But let's hope for the best.

Today, I wanted to play with Alex on ubi.com, but something went wrong, so I decided to look for a player with Patch 3.1 and I FOUND one!!!!!!!!!!!
His nickname, I think, was something common, starting with 'c' or 'ch'. I tried to connect, and it said, "Game versions do not match."
(By the way, I don't know how to take screenshots, can you tell me how?)

Oh, and no one was playing with him, and he left after about 20 seconds.

I'm seeing 3.1 in the training channel more and more often (about 2 times in 3 days, for the past 10-12 days).
Maybe a miracle will finally happen?!

Moreover, they're not just waiting for someone, but actually playing against each other, and a couple of times it was Germans (Spiel) and Poles (Gra or something like that).

Since a patch exists in a more or less finalized form (and people are already playing with it), there is absolutely no reason to believe that it won’t be released. Why would they create it otherwise? Certainly not just for fun, although the deadlines are certainly becoming a concern, but perhaps the developers have their own reasons that are not clear to us, the players.

Nival is currently busy working on other projects, which is why the patch is being developed so slowly. Just think about it, they need to work on Allods Online, they have a beta test for PW Online, and they also need to restore their forum. There simply isn't time for a patch right now.

Well, it seems the insiders from Nival lied :) The patch is already out! Or maybe there was just some misunderstanding. Someone didn't understand correctly, or didn't quite accurately express their thought ;)

The topic has been renamed; here you can now discuss everything related to the patch, what changes you liked, what the developers didn't do, and so on. Let's share our impressions; lately, events of this scale rarely happen, I think the question deserves a topic :)

P.S. Nival, it seems to me, didn't delay for no reason; if before, in the same amount of time, they made entire add-ons. I'm more than sure that Nival is currently working on some project. It is possible that it is a continuation of the Heroes series ;)

Today, I read somewhere online that Nival is working on the next installment of the Heroes series, which is great news. Where can I get this patch (3.1)? Could you provide a link? And another question: is it possible to temporarily disable this patch, because it makes it difficult to play online, as not many people have it yet.

Many people already have it. Of course, with the tournaments, things will be tough for everyone now ;D
