What was wrong with the old database system?

Well, IMHO, the new rating system isn't that bad... But it definitely has 3 drawbacks:
- You can't see at a glance who has raised/lowered whose rating.
- As far as I understand, you can't change a post's rating.
- The worst thing is the LIMIT on rating changes! :(

I agree! The old Reputation System was a great incentive for active participation on the forum, and people always appreciate being acknowledged. The act of expressing gratitude or support should be public (just like expressing disagreement), meaning it should be visible to all forum members, as it was before. Otherwise, interest will be lost.
The new Reputation System is significantly more complicated; comments are unnecessary. It's already clear what the intention was when implementing the upgrade. If before, it only took one mouse click to express an opinion, now this action has almost turned into writing a post. As a result, people will simply stop using the Reputation System out of laziness and because it takes too much time.
And where can you now see if someone has given you a reputation boost or not?
I don't know the actual difficulties with the old Reputation System, but the forum worked fine with it before. And the new Reputation System will eliminate itself within a month because people will stop using it due to its complexity. Then, active forum members will lose their incentive, and that's it. The forum will fall apart. This is, of course, the worst-case scenario, but I wouldn't want to see something like that happen :D

Good day, esteemed forum administrators! I would like to express my opinion regarding this new feature, and not only mine but also that of many users on the resource, mainly those who play online. It is good that the new system reduces the load on the forum, but on the other hand, the readability of pages has sharply decreased. When writing a post in the online report topic, there is a desire to write it in detail, as engagingly as possible, and not just with a concise title. This desire is stimulated by the number of rewards for a post. In the new system, it is not visible who encouraged whom and when, which means that diligence in writing posts will slowly disappear. Also, the need to write a comment will lead to the fact that rewards will stop being given altogether. In this regard, I (and not only me) have a big request: return everything to how it was and look for other solutions to the problems of glitches and overload. :) or at least make the database increase view available in the online tournaments topic. With respect.

I fully support the old Battle Report (BR) system. As far as I know, I write some of the longest reports. With the old BR system, at least I could see that many people liked them, and it was a kind of motivation. Now, I don't even know if anyone reads them at all, so why bother writing them?!! Over the past six months, the traffic in the Heroes 3 online section has increased tenfold (or even a hundredfold), and in my opinion, it has become one of the most popular sections on the entire forum (after the off-topic section, of course). I read many forums, and Heroesworld is currently one of the most popular and visited among all Russian-language forums about Heroes, and it has surpassed heroesportal in the number of online games for Heroes 3. Not only have you been unable to introduce a reward system in the form of Grails for over a year, but you have also taken away that small piece of bread, that only motivation in the form of BRs. I believe that the new BR system is a step backward. I understand that we, as small individuals, cannot do anything. We'll complain, and that will be the end of it. But I personally believe that we have put a lot of effort into developing this section (Heroes 3 online), and we have the right to at least have our opinion heard. I suggest analyzing the traffic in at least a month, and everything will become clear. P.S. Offline play for Heroes 3 is dying due to the lack of motivation (I mean only on this forum), and online play is sustained precisely by writing beautiful reports, which everyone then enjoys reading (as the author of many reports, I can assure you that there will be fewer of them, and of lower quality, under my name). This new system contributes to its demise as well. Very original way to promote the site! If the old BR system overloaded the forum, causing pages to glitch, then even though I'm not a programmer, I'm sure there are other ways to solve the problem. For example, reduce the number of posts per page, or something else.

Um... well actually, DB changes can be viewed in the control panel. It shows the nickname of whoever affected the DB, the thread where it was done, and a "+" or "-". I don't like that in the new system it's impossible to see the spirit changes of other users. The limit is something we can live with, although for people like me or Драккошка it's pretty difficult :) The inability to cancel is also not great... Sometimes you give a minus in anger, and then later think, "I shouldn't have done that," and remove it. So personally, I'll have to refrain from giving minuses :) But on the other hand, if there were access to view (again) DB changes of other users, you could catch repochiters and those who like to lower DB "for free."

Since the new system is important for stability on HeroesWorld and the quality operation of the portal, I have nothing against it. I've commented on it above :)

Heh... I didn't think anyone would be checking the BD (Battle Diary) under their posts when they can do it in the Control Panel... it shows everything right away.

Reporters... maybe it's not a bad thing that you can't keep track of them now... although there's nothing wrong with that either... if they want to, let them increase their rating... they won't gain much from it anyway... and they have to write comments under each of their rating increases, plus there are limitations...

PS, losing the ability to view the rating increases (or decreases) of other users isn't such a big drawback...

Can I ask a question about this system? :) I read about it in the help section, but I didn't understand two things – how to use the indicator and what the limit size is... Maybe these questions are silly, but if it's not too much trouble, could you please tell me?

The indicator isn't quite finished yet, as far as I know... there will be birds later.

Personally, I think comments are unnecessary...
I believe it's already clear why a user's reputation is increased...
Why write something like "what a wonderful thought you expressed in your post, I completely agree" every time?
And regarding the server load, the changes are obvious... I think everyone has noticed that most pages, which used to have issues, now load properly...

Okay, fine, about the Battle.net. But what did the monsters do to deserve this???? A demon turned into a Cerberus! Why?????????????
