Um, I think on a forum dedicated to the Heroes series, this question is quite rhetorical – it would be strange if there weren't people here who highly appreciate the third installment.

Many people simply judge based on the graphics. For example:

-No, I'd rather play Heroes.
-3? That's terrible.
So, basically, most fans of Heroes of Might and Magic III are people who aren't too familiar with:

-bugs
-hardware incompatibility with the game, etc.

I never thought that for a strategy game, graphics, glitches, and bugs are critical. The third one is the best. It's the most familiar, comforting, and beloved. No other game has such a magical atmosphere.

It’s a tough choice, but I prefer Heroes V; it has the best graphics, and the campaigns are the best too :smile54:. But I can’t help but praise Heroes III as well; they are very successful, but still, I’m voting for the fifth installment :smile02:.

In my opinion, all the games are good... It's very difficult to compare them... Each part has its own positive features... The fifth game has great graphics, an interesting skill tree, and alternative upgrades; the fourth game has a unique battle dynamic, and I also want to praise the ability for the hero himself to join the battle; and the third game has become a classic, it's a long-recognized world-renowned game...
