Lineage 2: I don't dislike it, but it's addictive, and there isn't much meaning to it... I was just talking to a friend: Arti: Hey, check out Lineage 2... they say it's a cool game. TonyMontana: But aren't you studying? Arti: So, is it interesting? TonyMontana: Better not to... Arti: What's wrong?... So, will you or won't you? TonyMontana: Still, better not to...
Есть свет и тьма, Добро и зло, Есть сила и власть, И много всего Но знай ты одно, Что все это чушь, И лишь без любви Не проживешь ты и дня..

Good dialogue, I just read it on a forum about three months ago. :smile42:
What a great topic! I haven't seen so many angry comments in a long time :smile27:
But let's get back to the topic. If the developers and publishers have a decent budget for creating a game, enthusiasm, and the necessary skills, then the game will definitely find its fans. Arguing about its quality and trying to prove something to someone is pointless, in my opinion. If there are fans, then everything is great. Conversely, if a game is made carelessly, just for the sake of it, or if there is a lack of funds, then nothing good will come of it. This game is unlikely to gain fans, even if it belongs to their favorite genre.
Very often, the final nail in the coffin is hammered in by the localization team. There's no point in creating a good localization for a game that no one will play... It's even worse if this applies to really good games. I remember it from my own experience. I borrowed a pirated copy of HoMM 4 from someone. (There was a dark period in my life, and I didn't have my own copy :D). When I launched it, it crashed. The pirates probably didn't bother with the translation and just used an automatic translator. :D As a result, the word "Back" on the button was translated as "spine." I don't remember other mistakes, but there were many. I have no words!!!
History knows a huge number of such "software mishaps." I won't list them, but I am familiar with some of them. Not because I bought them foolishly, but simply because I got into the habit of reading periodicals that I trust, where reviews of such "games" sometimes appear. In conclusion, I can't name "5 worst" games. I can't guarantee that they will be the worst :D.
P.S. Everything said above is not a response to anyone's message in this topic :D I'm just expressing my opinion. Don't judge me too harshly.:smile43:
2L@R$$ON I agree with everything except for one thing: if someone has the necessary skills, they can create a good game even without a large budget, and it will have its fans. An example: Heroes of Might and Magic IV.
I agree, it’s just that two other factors significantly outweighed it:rolleyes:
However, no one will argue that compared to the third part, the fourth game has far fewer fans. And that means something... Nevertheless, 3DO gave it their all, extracting the maximum from their capabilities. They deserve huge respect for that!
Okay... There are many bad and very bad games, but I'll mention the ones that greatly disappointed, upset, and generally annoyed me. 1. Magic Blood))) 2. NFS: Carbon 3. Serious Sam 2 4. Heroes IV 5. Europa
