1) the final game was played at a time when the final itself had not yet begun; at that moment, Dudge did not have "formal finalist status";

2) ... here we encountered a situation not described in the rules.

Heh heh. Let it be so, then. Vitalik, you yourself asked to play in advance, so please sort out point 1.
Regarding point 2: this game seems to have been counted. I can hardly imagine how one could provide a normal description of a clear passage to ban it in the rules. I've even seen a discussion somewhere where a person, while running through the woods, passed through a passage to a neighboring respawn, also woods, and there was a minor stir, but the decision was made in their favor. In my game, the decision was also made in my favor. I can post a screenshot of one of the games (as part of another tournament)... where there is an unprotected passage to a respawn, and the nearest protected one is veery far away.

and if there’s a map bug where a passage is blocked, should that also be coordinated and a request made regarding it? This happens often too.
By the way, I asked you to only clarify the first point; the rest was decided by the judges and the organizer.
