Of course, that's true. I was just exaggerating, meaning that the battles are easy...
:smile52: :smile52: :smile52: Ah-ah-ah... It really is! Especially at the end, in the battle with Al-Mu'Alim, where you have to fight all 9 victims at once! Very easy!:smile54:

I bought the collector's edition of this game today... I'll start by sharing my thoughts on the set itself.
Inside the beautiful glossy box, the first thing I noticed was the game box, naturally... And what did I see? A cheap double DVD box, the kind usually used to package pirated copies. Hmm... They definitely skimped on that. Inside the box, I found 2 discs (the game itself and the developer's diary). I'm about to install the game and I see that the disc is covered in a few, but rather large, scratches. To be honest, I was initially scared, thinking that this would lead to problems with the disc not working and everything that follows, but it seems everything worked out (nevertheless, my opinion of Akella has significantly decreased). In addition, there was a so-called "Amulet of the Secret Order of Assassins" in the DVD box. I didn't expect much from it, and my expectations were confirmed. It's just an ordinary trinket; if you really want to wear an amulet around your neck, you can buy something more impressive and beautiful. And expensive. But I found a use for it. As a keychain. While the game was installing, I was sorting through the "paperwork" that was in the box. The user manual isn't anything special. The ones that come in game boxes from EA are clearly more solid and generally more pleasant. Although, the latter are more expensive. And finally, there's the "illustrated history of the Order," a thick book made of fairly dense glossy paper, which contains many pictures, as well as the history of the Order. There are no complaints here, neither about the quality nor the content. I haven't even started the developer's diary yet (by the way, unlike the game disc, it's in perfect condition); I'll probably only watch it when I finish the game itself. Well, the moment of truth has arrived, and I launched the game :) I played for a while... I didn't have to get used to it, because I borrowed a pirated copy from a friend as a demo version not long ago, and I already easily completed the tutorial and the first 2 memory blocks. I finished it recently when I decided to collect all the Assassin flags. I don't know what they're for, but finding them all isn't that difficult, as there are relatively few. Nevertheless, I spent a considerable amount of time on it. And when I found all 20, I felt cheated... Because I didn't get anything at all, except for a "consoling" message, like "memory restored." The question is, what are they for? And searching for a hundred flags in each city is an absolutely pointless exercise, no matter what it costs. I thought maybe they would show some kind of pictures (something similar was in Prince of Persia), but I got... Maybe I'm missing something; enlighten me, oh connoisseurs of this game.
De facto, this is the first collector's edition that I bought. For which I overpaid twice as much compared to the Jewel case version. It's not that I'm dissatisfied... But what I got clearly isn't worth that much of an overpayment. I think this disc will be the last collector's edition that I buy...
O God of Earth and Altar, Bow down and hear our cry, Our earthly rulers falter, Our people drift and die, The walls of gold entomb us, The swords of scorn divide, Take not thy thunder from us, Take away our pride.
I hope at least someone has played this game. I personally really liked it; the graphics are excellent, and the plot is very interesting. The combat system is simply EXCELLENT...
If you have any difficulties with the walkthrough, feel free to ask...
Let's discuss it;)
So, yesterday I finished the game, and I'd like to share my opinion about it. I'll start in order: Combat system - I wouldn't call it excellent. Yes, it's spectacular, but victory is achieved by pressing just one key (or rather, a mouse button). Anyone who has played the Ubisoft game "Prince of Persia" will understand that the combat system in that game is much more diverse, with a lot of combinations (I couldn't even remember them all), and you have to think in advance which one will work in a given situation and which one won't. Graphics - the graphics are average, IMHO, and don't stand out in any way. In a word, it's not next-gen, but it's not from yesterday either. I didn't like the ordinary townspeople; they're just not very attractive. I have no complaints about the environment; everything is done perfectly, and Altair himself is, of course, done perfectly (as they say, about 700 movements are programmed into his animations). However, the animation of ordinary characters could have been richer. I also didn't like the lack of physics (after all, it's 2008, it's time to include physics in such projects; in my opinion, it's no longer cool, but rather a given) and the way objects interact with each other (for example, when Altair stabs someone with a sword, you can see the sword moving back and forth inside the body of the unfortunate guard). Plot - I have no complaints at all. I would give it a solid five out of five; the developers came up with something cool in this regard. Overall, I really liked the game, and against the background of its merits, you can overlook such minor flaws as, for example, the thieves on every street shouting the same template phrases.
Армия баранов под предводительством льва сильнее армии львов под предводительством барана.
God save us everyone Will we burn inside the fires of a thousand suns...
I disagree about the graphics. Few have seen Next-Gen. Specifically, those who don't have Next-Gen consoles, as well as the lucky owners of high-end PCs for Crossfire and SLI setups. The graphics in AK are amazing. For my computer, it's right on the edge of what's comfortable. I set the maximum settings on DirectX 9, and the game ran at the limit of comfortable gameplay. In DirectX 10, it wouldn't be comfortable to play anymore.
And what didn't you like about the people? You're comparing it to Half-Life 2 or Crysis. It's much more difficult to create a lot of human models than 20 key characters. Which, by the way, are excellently designed in AK. I was more impressed by the rarity of encountering two clones. GTA is incomparable in this regard.
Regarding the dialogue, you're right. There's really not much of it. And it's not the thieves that bother you, but the beggars. Both in their behavior and with their identical phrases. Also, those bastards throw stones when you try to escape them by running along the walls.
O God of Earth and Altar, Bow down and hear our cry, Our earthly rulers falter, Our people drift and die, The walls of gold entomb us, The swords of scorn divide, Take not thy thunder from us, Take away our pride.
I don't know. I also have the maximum settings, and the game is barely playable, even though our graphics cards are very different. So, it must be an optimization issue. As for the people, never mind them. By the way, I figured out that the engine isn't next-gen because it runs on my graphics card (GeForce 8600 gt) with maximum settings. Crysis, on the other hand, doesn't run. And these beggars aren't just annoying; they're infuriating. And the fact that they throw stones is just ridiculous. When I first encountered them, I tried to find a button to give them money. I didn't find it and accidentally killed her. The guards immediately ran up, and... In short, this is the most irritating (in my opinion) element in the gameplay.

These weak creatures were created for the sole purpose of being annoying. You can't even scare them with a punch or a shove; otherwise, they'll cause unnecessary panic. Killing them isn't our method. That's why they keep bothering us.
What do you consider to be "on the verge of a comfortable gaming experience"? In my opinion, it's around 30 frames per second, because anything less is a noticeable slowdown. I get a minimum of 30, and generally, the game runs at 40-50 frames per second. It drops lower during large battles and with various effects.

Generally speaking, a game should be considered comfortable if it runs at a standard frame rate, like the 24 frames per second used in movies. In my case, the average FPS is around 20, and I consider that the threshold for comfortable gameplay because there are still no noticeable stutters. However, this threshold can vary depending on the genre; playing a first-person shooter with an FPS below 30 is already quite challenging.

And for me, when the game starts (i.e., the assassin is already running around the streets), it kicks me out of the game after about two minutes. Maybe someone can tell me what this is and what to do, please.

The game crashes periodically (if it's a pirated copy), but not every two minutes... That's strange... It probably depends on the computer's configuration. Maybe it doesn't have enough RAM.

The game also requires a dual-core processor. As far as I know, the licensed version won't even run without it. And while a pirated copy might work, it will likely crash.

The campaign works fine, but I don't know about the pirated version; I downloaded the game from the internet, so it might be a pirated copy. As far as I understand, the only way to play this game properly is to buy the licensed version?

Something like that. But it's not worth it – spending an average of 500 rubles:smile18:. You enjoy the first 4 hours. Later, it starts to get boring – the same tasks over and over again (just kill some guy), collect flags, steal, interrogate, kill without raising an alarm, and reach a vantage point. That's it! The entire game is described in this message!
