PLEASE, NO ONE BUT THE PARTICIPANTS IN THE DEBATE SHOULD POST ANYTHING HERE! Topic: Who is better: a cheerful average student or a boring straight-A student? ValgallaWolf is trying to prove that being a boring straight-A student is better. Brackman is trying to prove that being a cheerful average student is better. Please behave respectfully and with dignity, as this is just a game.

It's better to be a cheerful C-student! That's it!)))

All Brek, I won))) You have nothing left to say – you're a boring nerd, so you don't know anything about trash metal bands)))) Hehe)))) Actually, I have a feeling that we're both fun and good guys. But we need to prove something. It's better to be a boring nerd because: a) They have a clear goal in life (Nobel Prize) b) They can't get hit on the head for their musical tastes – because Wagner and Mozart are just the names of football players for many people. c) Because they have a lot of extra pocket money – they don't drink beer. d) Because gladiolus.

Hmm, no, that won't work.))) a) To finally get that damn award, you need to graduate from university a couple of times, become a graduate student (at least, preferably a candidate of sciences and a doctor), work for about 50 years in some laboratory, and then come up with a couple of minor improvements. b) Honestly, if anyone tries to offend my interests... Quoting Manowar - The enemies of Metal must die!))) c) Money isn't the most important thing in life - Bach and Mozart were on the verge of poverty. d) Hehe))) I don't like flowers.
And now, my arguments: a) A mediocre student obviously spends less time studying, which means he has more time for other activities - at least one of them will not be from the category "Find a girl, get her drunk, scam some sucker out of a phone," but a really worthwhile activity that will bring him more benefits in the future than rote learning. b) He has many friends (and you thought I wouldn't use that?), and he is unlikely to fall into depression or some other mental disorder - which can easily happen to an excellent student, and then all his studies will be in vain. c) They are better developed physically - as they say, "A healthy mind in a healthy body." d) And so on...
Хороший сон укрепляет боевой дух. Хорошая еда укрепляет боевой дух. Хорошие деньги укрепляют боевой дух. А больше всего укрепляет боевой дух - отсутствие врага.
Now, my counter-arguments: a) From your words, it follows that finding a girlfriend, etc., is a task for an excellent student, but this is far from the truth. What other things does a mediocre student spend their time on? It's good if they spend it on sports, but usually, they spend it on drinking alcohol. b) A boring, excellent student doesn't have fewer friends – at least, the same mediocre students whom he lets copy his work. c) I completely agree. An excellent student is raised like in a greenhouse, which often leads to the opposite result.
P.S. And Joy De Maio (bassist of Manowar) said that real men, like Brecht and Wolf, are made for three things: 1) Drinking beer 2) Making metal 3) Censorship won't allow it, but you get the idea. Of these things, an excellent student can only make metal and the third thing. A mediocre student can't do any of them because mediocre students usually listen to R&B and drum and bass, and they have problems with the third thing because an excellent student clearly knows how to protect himself, while a mediocre student doesn't always.

You only responded to 2 of my arguments and agreed with one of them.))) Now it's my turn.))) a) I had a group of friends in school who were complete underachievers (I still laugh about them), and they constantly asked me to find them a job.))) b) A straight-A student only becomes friends with underachievers temporarily, during a test. During break, he's back in a corner reading a book.
Answer to P.S.))) I have a friend (he's worth two of them))), who was also an underachiever in school. He drinks beer by the crate, plays solo guitar in a KISS tribute band, and has an automatic self-preservation reflex – no matter how drunk he is, the reflex works.))) But a straight-A student needs to at least meet a girl, and considering he's a bore, well... you know.))) And if the straight-A student listened to metal, he would immediately become an underachiever, and immediately become more fun, because beer eliminates any boredom, and metal without beer is like beer without vodka.))))) Iron-metal-alcoholic arguments!))

a) Aha! So, students with poor grades have problems finding jobs.)) b) Not at all, during break he does homework for three more students with poor grades. Answer to the answer to P.S.)) Let your friend learn to play "Kill Bill" or something, and learn from Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, or Joe Satriani. Kiss isn't a good example; they have easy solos.

a) I don't know about you, but I had problems finding a job at 15-16 years old))) But they WANTED to work - that's the point!)))) b) Starting from the 8th grade, homework doesn't really matter anymore))) So, they (the average students) don't care about homework anymore)) Answer to the answer to the answer to P.S. You know, I'm surprised that a major in the army can even play anything other than Lyube...
Added 1 minute ago So, Wolf, no one has ever managed to argue with me)))) Stop wasting your time and agree with me)))

Students with poor grades can't afford to ignore homework if they plan to go to 10th grade, and given the state of vocational schools these days, everyone wants to be in 10th grade. I've had trouble finding a job since I was 14 because I have a natural charm, and it's true that this is more common among students with poor grades – I agree.
Reply to reply to reply to reply to P.S. A Major listens to glam rock – O_O – where do you find Majors like that????

Well, Wolf, you almost agree with me))) Isn't it simple?)) Most C students are strong in spirit (which means they can pass at least 3 subjects), and besides, after the 9th grade, they can even go to Suvorov Military School (and we really need officers now...)
Reply to reply to reply to reply to reply to P.S. (YEEEEEEES!!!))))) We all have our quirks here))) There's also a rock 'n' roll colonel and metalhead sergeants))))

Yeah, everything. Although I agreed from the start. They could have given us a topic like who's better, Alexi Laiho or Carl Logan.

actually, a boring straight-A student doesn't do homework for anyone else; they do it for themselves, while the rest, during breaks, download their work after leaving it on the windowsill:) and a cheerful C-student won't be able to become much later on if they want to earn more than a plumber) no, of course, there are many ways, but many people don't see them, and a degree is a nice bonus. It significantly makes life easier, and for the most part, the employer doesn't care what the specialty is; the fact that they have a degree is what matters. Although a C-student can get into a private university if they have money (from their parents:D), slack off there, only showing up for exams to get a free passing grade, and during their free time (24/7;)) they can make music and use protection until they're blue in the face) in the end, their life will be specific and quite lazy ;DDD
I won!!!))))) Learn from me!))))) Wolf, it was fun!))) Agilist, let's have another match!)))
