I like the unarmored ones more because they don't have faces – it looks cool... And I also like the Liches with their daggers that attack with a wave of the hand.

The poll should have had a different option: a black cloak, sharp teeth, and a sword. That would have been perfect!! :smile24: :smile13: :smile24:

I wouldn't say I particularly like the Necropolis units. However, the dragons and vampires are designed nicely, but the torn boot on the skeletons, which makes them look like garden scarecrows, is just ridiculous (though it's more tolerable than the poisonous creatures from Heroes 4). But it does create an atmosphere; you can tell they're undead. And I've noticed something else... Every castle has all its alternate sprites in the same color. Humans are red, elves are blue, Inferno is gray, but here they're pink... It's amusing.

By the way, the book that liches carry is something like a Horcrux, containing their soul. That's why they are chained together, so they don't fly away during an attack.

But in general, I want to add that the vampires in Heroes of Might and Magic V are, in my opinion, better than in other parts. In Heroes of Might and Magic III, they are kind of like zombies, and in Heroes of Might and Magic IV, they are too sweet. Their appearance is great, especially the vampire princes, I like them more than the vampire lords. As for the upgraded appearance, it's not very good; I expected something different. Everything is kind of pink, like emo, except for the vampire princes, and they are not scary at all!

The vampire lord is the best! He's cooler than the prince! He looks more like a real vampire. The regular undead are cooler, meaning the basic ones. The two types of dragons are beautiful, and the lich's upgrade is also beautiful. The regular ghosts are beautiful, but the skeleton upgrade is worse than the previous one.

It seems to me that the Liches appear larger because of their parachute-like skirts! And the proportions are completely different.

But what a proud posture! The Sorceresses from Dungeon don't even come close.

Starting from the top! Liches (of all kinds), undead, death knights (they are dead too)... they are quite majestic... can you argue with that? And, of course, vampires.

But the Shadow Lords shouldn't lose in this regard either.

In my opinion, the funny appearance of zombies is acceptable considering the overall style of the game. They fit perfectly within the framework of what has become known on the forum as the "cartoonishness" of zombies, as well as the no less comical skeletons and other creatures. If the graphics were darker and more realistic, then I would completely agree; such zombies would be completely out of place.

The fact that vampires with a sword and no fangs is just silly. :smile18: They look like ordinary soldiers. In the third game, vampires look more like themselves, but they are too ugly (like zombies).
In my opinion, they should have fangs and wear black cloaks, and look nicer than in the third game. :smile24: A sword wouldn't hurt either.
Regarding the animation:
Why do un-skinned vampires run? In the third game, the animation of them transforming into bats is cool. It would be good if they first slashed with a sword (to break through armor), and then bit with their teeth, naturally only those from whom they can drink life (haha! it would be funny to see a vampire gnawing on a granite science academy, aka a stone gargoyle :smile35: :smile52: ).

You also forgot about adding animation for flowing blood – and in general, let's add more realism! :smile34: :smile16:
