Yes, Exz is right; it's impossible to say which genre is better. However, everyone mainly plays the genre they enjoy, meaning everyone chooses what's best for themselves. I personally love strategy games, action games, and RPGs. In general, until recently, I played almost everything, but now I don't have the time or money to buy every new release, so I only get very popular games.

I haven't played The Witcher yet, but I will definitely buy it, possibly even the expensive collector's edition, because I have no doubt that I will like the game, and it's always nice to have a beautiful DVD box with my favorite game, as well as a bunch of bonus discs, etc. :)

So, it turns out that it's impossible to choose the best game.

RPG and strategy games are the best genres, in my opinion...

If the first one is about romance, the opportunity to feel like a hero, and to go on "real" adventures that you've always dreamed of (mainly Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate, etc.), then the second one allows you to demonstrate your intelligence, your quick wit, and your logic in devising tactics and other military tricks, and also to feel like a commander.

I always switch between the two... after playing an RPG, I start craving strategy games, and vice versa... that's why I mostly have games of these genres on my computer.

Sometimes I want a quick game... for such cases, there are racing games (FlatOut 2, because I like racing games where you can break, smash, and crash everything), sports games (I used to like hockey, but the others aren't very appealing), and shooters (Quake, etc.)...

P.S. In general, I don't really like shooters, sports, or racing games... unless it's online =)... although there are some interesting ones even without online play, but there aren't many.

Vikh, Witcher – it’s a great game with atmosphere, plot, and graphics. The only downside is the combat system, which could be better… But it’s not a deal-breaker. You should definitely give it a try.

I like everything except simulators (both sports and racing, aviation, etc.) and quests/adventures.
There just aren't many quests and adventures these days, and most of them are terrible.
And simulators... well, never mind. I only occasionally play Revolt, with its little cars.)
And that's it.

I read somewhere that if you set the difficulty level to hard and turn off the hints during combat, the battles become surprisingly challenging and engaging. Although I can't judge for myself, as my computer can't run the game.

Hello everyone, I'm open to all kinds of games; I've tried everything, all genres. I can't stand only Sims. All games are interesting in their own way; I wanted to say that the genres and games within these genres are just arranged and combined differently.

You get confused playing in so many genres!! And when there's a choice, it's hard to say what's better! And if they're all the same to us, you can't call any one game the best. Even if it's the famous Heroes!
Even if it's an RPG, it's still quite difficult to choose.;););)

WHAT O_O!!!!!!!??? The game features a unique combat system for an RPG, not just mindless button-mashing, but rather a rhythmic battle (which is already a quite popular feature). This is simply magnificent; there haven't been many RPGs with rhythmic combat. And if you play with a third-person camera like in Geoff (a hybrid of first and third-person perspectives), it's a super enjoyable experience. The ability to choose the camera angle adds to the adrenaline rush, making it as exciting as an action game.

It's an awesome game! I've been trying to find it for a while; I played it a long time ago, and it's great.

Well, actually, I liked Fable! But mostly I play Counter-Strike, Heroes, and Diablo II – even though it's old, it's still fun. Simulators are pointless! It's better to do things in real life. And there are some cool strategy games, but I'm not really into them.

Well... not everyone likes Counter-Strike, but it's a game that many people play.
