I advise you to use Hamachi version 1.0.1.5... I assume you have 1.0.2.5, and it consumes at least twice as much "fuel" :)

I apologize, but I have to withdraw from the tournament. Yesterday, I tried playing against Bloomer and Warmonger, and it just didn't work out. With Bloomer, we tried several times on Ubi, and the game would freeze before either of us could make a move, and sometimes it would even crash before we could deploy our troops. It would just sit there for a minute and then crash. I thought it was a bug with Ubi. We decided to try Hamachi, and it was the same thing – the game would freeze at the very beginning of the battle. I thought maybe it was just happening with Bloomer, and we'd figure out a solution somehow. So, I decided to play against Warmonger, and we started through Hamachi (Warmonger doesn't have the option to play through Ubi, or maybe he doesn't want to, I'm not sure). To my surprise, the game actually started, and we managed to make a few moves before it froze again. I minimized the game and decided to write to Warmonger on ICQ to see how it was looking for him, and when I went back to the game, it had completely closed on its own. So, either my friend's computer is buggy, or I don't know. But it seems like it's not just me; I'm also planning to get a faster computer in September, but if it's going to cause problems with Heroes, I'm starting to wonder if it's even worth it.

The issue definitely isn't related to the internet connection. Vaishan and I used to play Heroes (back then, it was version 2.0) over a modem with a speed of around 24 kbps. It wasn't exactly comfortable, but it was tolerable and relatively stable (during a 2-hour game, there were no more than 2-3 disconnects). And as far as I know, unlimited data plans start at 64 kbps, which is 2.5 times faster, so the problem clearly isn't the speed. I have absolutely no idea where these issues come from; they occur both when playing through Ubisoft's servers and through Hamachi, so neither Ubisoft's server nor Hamachi is to blame.

Just so you know, I have ADSL with limited data, and I experience problems, but not with everyone.

You can play instead of Lord Vampire, who recently withdrew from the tournament, but you only have 1 day to play 6 games. Maybe the organizer will give you a couple of extra days, but definitely not more. So, it's better to decide right away.

Not that I'm against it. But I'm drawing everyone's attention to the fact that I joined Group A as a replacement with a score of zero, and therefore the second replacement will be legitimate only if the attached result is annulled. :smile38:
