TOURNAMENT RULES

1. To participate in this Heroes 1 "Dragon Pass" tournament, you must register on our website www.heroesworld.ru and submit an application in this thread.

This tournament is part of the general John van Caneghem Memorial Tournament, so all information, as well as the conduct and results, will be displayed in this section.

Note: The final results of the tournament will also be available in the offline Heroes 1 tournaments section.

2. The tournament will be played on the Russian version of Heroes 1 from Buky. The save file will be generated on the Russian version 1.1.

3. The goal of the game is to defeat the enemy in the shortest possible time.
The submitted save file must contain the abbreviation (VC - van Caneghem) and the player's nickname.

Example:

VC_Kamikaze.GM1 or VC-Kamikaze.GM1

4. The result will primarily be evaluated based on the minimum time taken.
If several players have equal completion times, the best one will be determined by the sum of primary skills (attack, defense, magic, knowledge), INCLUDING WORN ARTIFACTS; if a favorite still cannot be determined, it will be based on the amount of mercury.

5. Along with the submitted save file, you must include a description of the last step (battle with a hero, battle for a castle, capturing an artifact, defeating the last monster) after which victory occurs, or the scenario is completed.

6. The submitted save file may have multiple heroes; the sum of characteristics is calculated for the strongest one.

8. Send the save file to the email address Kamikaze.

9. In case of suspicion that a player is cheating or has other malicious intent while playing the map, it is necessary to make a save every game day.
In this case (detection of cheating), the player will be required to send additional saves and provide a description of the gameplay to determine whether the game was fair or not, to the tournament organizer.
The result of a player who played unfairly will be canceled, and their further participation in tournaments will be impossible. This will also affect their reputation negatively.

10. Discussion of the tournament during its course is PROHIBITED!!!
(Players who violate this rule will automatically lose the opportunity to play in the tournament; their results will not be counted and will be annulled).

11. The tournament starts on February 17th and lasts until March 10th (inclusive!). The results will be announced on March 14, 2008.

12. After you submit your save file, you will see in the application table that:

save accepted - indicated by a bold nickname.
save approved - indicated by an italicized - bold nickname.

We invite everyone to participate in the tournament!

Save files will only be considered from players who are listed in this table, so please submit your applications IN ADVANCE!!!

Starting save:

Map from which the save was generated:

1. Download the save file.

2. You need to place the downloaded save file in the GAMES folder of your installed Heroes 1 game on your computer.

3. Load it and start playing at any time that is convenient for you, while remembering to make daily saves.

4. After reaching the last action (after which victory occurs), you must save again.

5. With the final save, provide a detailed description of the last step (most likely the battle); this will speed up the results and reduce suspicion of cheating!!!

6. A complete description of the tournament map is encouraged (not required). If there are such descriptions, a competition will be held for the best description. The top five will take their rightful place in the "Feats of Our Best Heroes" section!

7. Send this save file to the specified address (in the rules of this tournament).

8. Wait for the results to be announced.
