Posts from Which version of Heroes do you like the most?

For me, it's easiest to decide on the last place – it's Heroes 4. 1 and 2 are my nostalgia and love because that's where I started, back when I was (oh my!) in elementary school. Then came part 3 (I remember how I didn't like the "fatter" horses of the heroes). Part 5 was introduced to me by a friend because my computer at that time could barely run it. At first, I really didn't like them, but then I got used to them and even came to love them. Perhaps, Argil won my heart. In summary, all parts are good. In their own way. To each their own. And singling out any of them as the best is sacrilege. Now I play all of them (except for part 4) and with great pleasure. So, guys, peace.

I like them all. 1, 2, and 3 with their expansions – for their gameplay and story. 4 with its expansions – for its role-playing elements and story. The gameplay isn't great. 5 – for its gameplay and that's it. The story is mediocre.

How would you rate Heroes of Might and Magic III?

Of course, ten out of ten. The third installment of Heroes of Might and Magic is the best!

Generally speaking, this is a pointless poll. If the author had suggested comparing different parts of the Heroes series, there would have been some logic to it.

Yeah... what else can you expect when asking on a forum for fans of the HoMM series, especially about a part that caused the least controversy and satisfied everyone equally? Of course, it's a great game. And it's more accessible online than the fifth installment.
