I'll assume that when he was still known as Agrael, he hadn't fully fallen in love with Isabel yet. So, I choose Agrael – he's a good strategist and lacks unnecessary nobility; he has a practical mindset.

I didn't like Agrael's behavior, specifically that he killed Nicholas. I think it's clear to everyone why he did it. After all, it was because of Nicholas's death that unrest would begin in the Griffin Empire, Biara would usurp power, and many other bad things would happen. On the other hand, as Railagh, he does many good deeds. For example, he destroys the Clan of Grim Hearts, thereby almost completely ridding the underground race of demon worshipers; he helps in saving Isabel; and even before that, he saves her along with Markel from demons, etc. In my opinion, Agrael/Railagh is the most ambiguous hero. Among the Tribes of the East, I liked Kujin. IMHO, he's an interesting hero. From the original game, I liked Zephyr and Godric. From the Hammers of Fate, I liked Wulfsten. He made me laugh a couple of times).

I think Realag is the most enigmatic hero. His actions are completely unpredictable and surprising, and that's why I like him.

But if I had to choose who is the best... it would be Zephyr 1st...
Throughout each episode, he tells us everything from his perspective, and he uses many comparisons, metaphors, and other literary devices, which creates the image of an educated young man, but he is also quite reasonable, as well as young.

However, I didn't like Fayden at all; he's more like a poet, and sometimes it even became funny, although I prefer playing as elves. I personally liked Agrael, a kind of demon outcast; specifically Agrael, and not Railag.

I liked Agrail because he showed courage by challenging someone much stronger, even though he wasn't supposed to. He could have just stayed with the demons. He doesn't have the same noble ideals as Godric. At the same time, he's not as idealistic as Faydaen, but rather cynical and practical. Unfortunately, I can't say anything about the others, as I haven't fully completed the game (I stopped playing, but I'm playing it again now). Also, Markel is a smart guy; he cleverly orchestrated everything.
