December 21, 2007 marks the release of the Gold Edition of Heroes of Might and Magic V, which will include the original game, as well as the expansions "Hammers of Fate" and "Tribes of the East". The Gold Edition will also feature several additional maps, including one based on the game Dark Messiah, as promised by Nival.

I think this information is already known to many. In this thread, I propose we discuss the Gold Edition, whether it's worth buying for those who already own all of Heroes of Might and Magic V, discuss the additional maps included in the Gold Edition, and answer any questions that may arise from forum users. I also ask those who have purchased the edition to share more detailed information about it, as I am currently deciding whether or not to buy it... and I don't think I'm the only one.

My answer: I don't know yet, but I'm leaning more towards "not buying it." I'll probably download the bonus mission via torrent:D ;)

Since I haven't gotten Tribes of the East yet, this collection is interesting to me.

I already have the original versions of "Hammers of Fate" and "Tribes of the East," so I won't be taking them. And Nival will post the maps on the website anyway. P.S. Will the Complete Edition be sold in Russia?

Today is December 21st. I won’t be buying the gold edition because I already purchased the game and all the expansions a while ago. I think that not many people were waiting for the gold edition, and the localization team should have released it earlier, as everyone has already bought everything they need and won’t waste money unnecessarily.

Listen, I have the same situation. I have all the expansions and the original game, so why would I need the Gold edition?! But where can I find maps? If anyone knows, please let me know.

I don't have Heroes of Might and Magic V (though I used to, a friend downloaded it for me), so the gold edition is interesting to me. But I haven't decided yet, I'm leaning towards "more likely yes than no." It all depends on the price; otherwise, they might charge 800 rubles...

Regarding the price. I read somewhere that there will be 2 versions of the Gold Edition, in a jewel case and a DVD case. Naturally, they will differ in price, probably by a factor of 1.5-2, as is usually the case. I live in Perm, and the discs usually appear within a week after the release in Russia, so I can't say anything about the price, but logically, it should be more expensive than the Silver Edition, which cost an average of 450 rubles in our city... (I haven't seen the jewel or DVD versions). I really hope that Nival will release the maps separately. Or our fellow countrymen will find a way to extract them from the Gold Edition and upload them themselves).

And what about you, Major, are you going to buy this edition? Because, in theory, there's no point in doing so since you've already played all the expansions, not to mention the original game.

I won't be buying the gold edition. Firstly, because it's unlikely to be available in our region. Secondly, I've played almost all the expansions, and I don't see the point in spending money (which I don't have anyway – that's the third reason) on something I already have.

I would buy it. Especially if I need to lend it to a friend to play, it's better to give one disc than three.

I will, and there are several reasons for that:
1. I don't have Heroes of Might and Magic V at all.
2. I was expecting the release of a similar compilation (like the Platinum edition of Heroes of Might and Magic I, II, and III) and intended to buy it.
3. I really want to.

I only have the original version, so I will most likely buy it! It all depends on the price! There are no expansion packs, so I will probably buy it!
